Ok, I’ll make a deal.

I will continue to help nez IFF:

 1. Nez doesn’t deviate until we figure everything out. Customizing the diet and training to you is difficult enough and all that I really have time for given you stick to it 100%. Make that 90%, or 80% and I can’t really help you because I won’t know how you’re responding.

 2. MassiveGuns doesn’t post again in this thread. If he really has your best interest at heart, he will play his part, and bring his trolling elsewhere.

Deal?
I take back anything negative I said. You’ve done the honourable thing. I’m not going to interfere at all. I am not trolling and have no intention of doing so in the future.

My work is done.

Nez… Step up. Chuck the cakes!

Saying someone should have at least tried to stick to the diet written for them (upon request I might add) for a week isn’t saying “fuck off you’re not perfect”. It just shows that maybe the person needs to evaluate how much their willing to put into this hobby. Not trying to be rude, but a small, undertrained female with little muscle mass just doesn’t have a ton of ‘wiggle’ room right off the bat.

I think the issue here is that Nez didn’t even “try” to adhere to her diet. It wasn’t like she said “I tried my best, but unfortunately I was a at party and a beer was passed to me and I didn’t want to look unsocial etc etc”, but it was more of a “so when can I have a beer and cake” and an unapologetic “oops, I had a beer”. If Nez isnt even going to try a little bit, then please, dont bother.

Yup.

While I certainly applaud your honestly in fessing up to your dietary malfeasance, nez, remember that jskrabac is (was) routinely taking time out of his clearly busy life to build a plan customized to YOU.

I’m not going to get all preachy and say that cheating on your diet is “disrespectful” to him, as this sorta thing has happened to almost all of us at one time (more times for me than I will ever admit), but please understand WHY doing so this early into the program is a definite concern.

jskrabac is doing an amazing job at taking the “thinking” part out of your training and nutrition; what he cannot do, however, is ALSO shoulder the burden of the effort that is required to make it happen. Because, make no mistake, the novelty of a new program and personal coach is gonna get old REAL quick… right around the time things step up and you are asked to make sacrifices above and beyond not indulging in a nightcap.

Had a stressful day at work? Well hold on to your butt, because 6 - 8 weeks from now you’ll STILL be having bad days at work… only this time you will be sleepier from waking early to rock some FMC and hungrier because chicken and veggie shakes with a side order of fish oil doesn’t quite take the edge off.

It’s an issue of trust. Simply: if you cannot be trusted to do the right thing when times are at their easiest, how can you be trusted do the right thing when times are at their hardest? THis philosophy isn’t about just the gym, btw.

It’s an issue of respect, too, but instead of respecting jskrabac I am talking about respecting YOURSELF, your goals and your time. You need to be as accountable for the promises you make to yourself as you are to the promises you make to other people for this process to work. Don’t fall into the trap of rationalizing decisions you KNOW won’t help you in the long run because “it’s not hurting anybody else” or because “no one will ever know.” Hold yourself to a higher standard than that.

Wanna know the truth? The difference between who are now and who you will be 2 - 3 months down the road, physique wise, is nothing more esoteric than the totality of every decision you make about your training and nutrition from here on out. Seriously. You have a GREAT plan going here, so now it is 100% up to you. And keep in mind, you will never, ever make a choice that occurs in a vacuum; every single decision you will ever consciously make, whether it’s grinding out those final few reps on squats, procrastinating on an important assignment at work or “rewarding” yourself for your daily efforts with a cold beer are ALL functioning at a subconscious level to set down a complex neurological framework of habits geared towards either success or failure.

When you drank that Modelo, please understand that you were simply operating under the same status quo of failure and setbacks that made you go looking for a coach in the first place. I’m not saying it was out of your control (you DID dun goofed), but I just want you to know the battle is going to be just as mental as it is physical… which is both good and bad because the mental challenges, while the toughest, are also the most rewarding.

Yeah, it was “just a beer”… but at the same time, it’s about a little more than just a beer, ya know? Not the end of the world (some people turn that sorta thing into a binge that lasts until their “fresh start” the following Monday), but do yourself a favor and nip this sorta stuff in the bud early. And trust that the man knows what he’s doing.

Good luck!
anonym - How much would you charge to just hang out in my kitchen? Seriously, I’m pretty sure you could keep me from fishing the chocolate chips out of the freezer in the afternoon. I am going to print this out and put it on the fridge for future reference. Sometimes a little tough love is good.

Good luck Nez!

Hey Jskrabac, got a question for ya. Your transformation was fucking awesome. I remember your first ‘can I be a model’ thread, and I thought it was laughable. It was clearly no joke.

It looks like your interest is in training someone who’s willing to be a bit more dedicated (no offense to Nez, I feel bad about your situation). My pictures are plentiful, so I obviously have a level of dedication. But I’d like some additional guidance. Particularly with diet. If you’re interested, let me know, and I can give you all the details you need. My financial/time resources are close to unlimited, so I could be a fun project

FWIW, absolutely no hate if you turn me down, I think what you’re doing 'round here is great either way.
To be honest, you seem to be doing very well. I’d be thrilled to be walking around looking like you in my off-season. What specifically did you have in mind? Just a diet plan that gets modified weekly? A training split?
Well I just started Meadow’s reactive pump training thingy. Was following a kingbeef program before that. I’m relatively comfortable with my training, pretty new to bodybuilding style training though. I’d be open to advice on that front.

I’ve never dieted down/ cut fat. Ever. My avatar pictures are essentially the same leanness I’ve been my whole life. I like where you’ve taken your own body, and I’d basically be interested in going a similar direction. But I’m not sure I’ve built enough size for that to be worthwhile yet. So I guess that’s where I would start. I can post some pictures, and see if you (and I guess anyone else interested) could tell me how a cut would likely turn out. And if I get positive feedback, some guidance in starting a stricter diet would be helpful. I believe, for instance, that my protein intake is well below what most around here prescribe.

So I’d be interested to know your take on that sort of thing. After that, who knows? Open to suggestions. I don’t want to fill Nez’s thread with this, so I can start a new thread if you’re interested.

No act of kindness goes unpunished? lol Lots of white nights running around this thread. What a bunch of pathetic asshats…oh well.

People don’t respect things they don’t pay for. 500$ for a diet/workout plan makes people value it.

I don’t disagree with what you’re saying… but I do wish I could punch anyone who says “white knight” in the face. Pet peeve I guess. Keep the stupid ass internet terminology on 4chan lol.

I am sorry I wouldn’t pay 500 for someone just starting out and learning to coach this is as much of a learning experience for him as well

Agreed. I’m happy for the opportunity. I just need all parties to play their part.

True. But you will have to learn to work with all sorts of ppl if this is something you are Interested. It’s one reason I couldn’t do it.

lol I was worried people would flame nez like they flamed that poor young dude. Now they are flaming JSK.
Jeez!
JSK should not have to try and explain anything he has done either!

Let people do what they want to do…

And if the outcome is not what you thought, or ‘what you would have done’ which is SO easy to type…so be it! Its not you that is being affected!

So many of these threads are wasted because by the time you wade through the bullshit you have lost interest!

These threads are blowing my mind. For all the wrong reasons.

Last night was the first Saturday night that I didn’t enjoy a cocktail. I’ve avoided the responses on the thread for fear that I would be set on fire like coyotegal said. But thanks all for rooting me on! The cake has been chucked and so has the beer. I want this.

The diet is pretty extreme but it needs to be to see the results in such a short amount of time. The workouts are pretty soliid- they push me and I’m sore for days after. I will agree to not stray for how ever long need be.

That being said I weighed in at 110.6 pounds- I could almost cry!
