You’re getting lean as hell Nez. No need to worry about the abs, you’re on your way there and I think closer then ya think!
Abs starting to come out. Arms leaning up. Waist going down. Well done

You definitely wanna do lower body lifting with flattest shoe possible. I typically wear something like chucks on leg days.
Also, I’m all about getting you those hawt abz for your big beach outing, but stressing the abs will cause you to go a bit manic. We can definitely pull some last minute “tricks” to pull out the definition and whatnot, but, in general, that’s not a level of leanness you’re going to be comfortable maintaining year round. Only for short periods of time.
I’m still pretty lean a few months post show and I guarantee you I don’t have a 6 pack visible 24/7 despite being in what I’d consider the best shape of my life. [/quote]
Listen to your coach up there. Focusing on your 6 pack or any other “problem area” will drive you bananas. I’ve been there too and will tell you it’s not worth it.
You definitely can get your hawt abz for the beach, but maintaining that look for an extended period of time is not going to be comfortable and it will be harder to progress in the areas of strength/performance/muscle gain. This varies for everyone, but for the most part, having ripped abs or being cellulite/saddlebag free (not that you have this problem) is a look that women can achieve, but not realistically maintain year round.
My most recent experience with dieting really taught me this…I have a pretty sturdy build with a thick waist and have always wanted abs. I finally got them when I dieted down to compete. They were the last thing to show and even though I had veins everywhere, I still didn’t have an awesome 6 pack. It was disappointing. For so long I thought that abs were the key to that lean and and athletic look. And I didn’t have them because I just wasn’t ever lean enough. Of course it was true that I never had them because I had never gotten lean enough, but what I didn’t realize was that “lean enough” for abs on my body is stage lean. I eventually realized that I would have to make some major sacrifices if I wanted to keep them after the show. Sacrifices that would make it harder to do what I love in the gym (lift heavy ass weight) and take a toll on personal relationships (even with my supportive family and friends) and not to mention my health and sanity. It wasn’t worth it. I realized this, but that didn’t make it any less of a mindfuck.
So what’s my point? Of course you should always work to improve yourself, but realize that you can’t fight Mother Nature indefinitely. Focusing on positive things like getting faster, healthier, stronger, etc will do a heck of a lot more for you than getting rid of or fixing xyz.
I’m guessing you’ll be going out to celebrate Father’s day. I think this is a great time for you to refeed on carbs and enjoy yourself tonight.
Yes…a cheat meal! Don’t worry about counting, limiting carbs or anything. Just enjoy yourself. Make sure you train tomorrow to take advantage of it!
Check in here tomorrow with your morning weight (don’t be alarmed if it’s up quite a few lbs) and I’ll decide where to go from there based off of how you respond. Just weight. Don’t need to take pics again or anything.

Buckeye,
I appreciate you pointing out the importance of me training as a whole. Sometimes I lose focus on the big picture and concentrate on the microscopic bs. Its true that I do want abs-but its just to say I did it. Its kind of a bucket list thing, if you will. When this is all said and done, I will continue to train because I want to be healthy, strong, and because it KEEPS/MAKES ME SANE(-ish).

there is a god.
haha…enjoy it.
My only recommendation is to stay away from obnoxiously sugary drinks like regular soda. Those are kinda wasted carbs because they’re not filling and they’ll just bloat you when you should be enjoying some french fries instead!
110.6
…and it was worth it!

HAHA good stuff Nez,love your humor dear.
2 lbs is nothing! haha
How aggressive do you want to be these last two weeks?
Lets do it.
…I foresee lots of tears. Haha.

I ate so much it was hard to breath. Fat girl wheezing.
Alright, so I think you’re going to be cursing my name after these last few weeks, but at least you’ll be happy with your look =)
So here’s the diet. I want you to sync it up with training.
You are going 2 on 1 off.
That FIRST training day, so every 3rd day, your new macros on each of your 3 in-between meals will be:
30 P
30 C
10 F
The second training day as well as the off day, your 3 meals will be at:
30 P
0 C
15 F
Keep the first and last meal as is. We will be dropping cottage cheese entirely next week and replacing it with eggs (so that there’s no “dairy bloat”) so enjoy it while you can this week!!
Stick to sprints 2x a week exactly as you are doing, but on every day you are not sprinting, do a fasted morning power walk. for at least 30 min.
Keep the training program as is.
And if you’re game, I’d highly recommend picking up a caffeine supplement at CVS or Walgreen’s and working your way up to 200mg/day by the end of the week, depending on your tolerance. This will help a little with water and also energy in the gym.
Keep drinking lots of H2O!!
Workout A and C: 30 P, 30C, 10F
Then on Workout B and off days: 30P, 0C, 15F?
And I’m not going to die?

Not quite.
Your diet will be on 3 day cycles.
carb
no carb
no carb
repeat
My poor family…

So a week might look like:
M: workout A + carb up
Tu: workout B + no carb
W: OFF+no carb
Th: workout C+carb up
Fr: workout A+ no carb
Sa: OFF+no carb
Su: workout B+ carb up
etc…
