Finally cleaned a PR. the last few clean and jerks at 80 and 85 were shorter rest, maybe 75s at most, and each consecutive one felt better. I was gassed by the time I got to front squats, which shows in the low numbers today.
guys i posted this in one of the forums but didnt get any comment. I am doing smolov too to improve my strenght. just wanted to see if my technique is coming along. I am currently 69bw. The snatch was 165lbs
There is a reason why most 85 and definitely 94+ onwards are not as lean as the smaller guys. It is just a lot harder to be as lean as you get bigger in our sport.

The increased size helps them lift more because they are carrying more muscle along with the extra fat. But there’s no sense in them trying to force their bodies to become leaner because they might lose muscle and strength in the process.
A 56 kilo lifter on the other hand can’t afford to be 15% bf. He would automatically be handicapping his potential.[/quote]
Yes but the bigger you are the harder it is to add muscle without adding so much fat hence the guys that are 85+ that are lean is relatively small.
How long do your lifting session go for? I’m just about 1 kilo heavier than you so I want to emulate your numbers within about 6 months. I think I can do it but it’s going to be hard work. It’s a goal anyway so if I get there in a year that might be okay too.

Got some soft tissue work done on my arm during the day (it sure helps working around an athletic therapist and a few massage therapists lol) and my arm is doing much better. It seems that the long head of my right biceps is super tight, with the biggest problems closest to the elbow. Lots of stretching and soft tissue work will definitely clear it up, but I’ll have to work on shoulder mobility to prevent it again in the future. Overall not a bad session. I was upset that my arm got hurt because the clean and jerk was going well. It felt like it could have been a PR day.

About 2.5 - 3hrs for the FS, Sn, Pulls part, abs
I was 99kg about 10 weeks ago. I’m down to 93kg now but I’ve been dieting down.
If you can Sn 100kg, Cj 125 within a year you would have done really really well mate! You should be working with a coach at least 3x a week to make this possible. There is a reason why not that many people Sn 100 within a year let alone on this forum. Lack of coaching and leg strength besides technique.
People really over estimate results, they will rush to say 75-85 fast but then after 90 it stalls to a grinding halt…a coach will really really help your technique out a lot. I can not stress this enough!
I’ve been deadlifting for the last few weeks. Today I decided to test it. I pulled an absurdly easy 240kg that I could have undoubtedly doubled. Jumped to 250 next. I pulled it off the floor pretty easily, but once I reached my knees the bar tapped my right knee ever so slightly which bumped it out away from me and I ended up losing it. There might not be anything more annoying than being STRONG enough to lift a weight and losing it because of a technical fuck up. I had no gas left to give it another go, deadlifts are too demanding. Anyway, I’m pretty annoyed about the whole thing and just felt like ranting lol. I’m going to give it another shot next week, but I’ll probably take a smaller jump.
Not really Olifting, but I haven’t been venturing into max territory on the sn/cn lately.
Some training from yesterday. If anyone needs a tutorial video on how to miss your second rep in snatch doubles, or how not to jerk this will work very well for you.
