Learn anything while being at the olympics koing?

I’ve been having fun with my jerk boxes this past week. Had 141 today, which would’ve been over 2x bw, but my left elbow buckled on me and I had to dump it =( I did however manage to hit a double with 130. How I made the 2nd rep is beyond me. I love jerks, but it’s too bad I can’t clean worth a damn lol.

@Koing,

What are Chinese style clean pulls?

I thought those were just pulls…

No. No other lifters do the reverse direction at the top like the Chinese do.

I’m going to do a f0ck load of pulls and have a light technical day. I’ve seen how amazing their bar work and lifting is. It has literally blown my mind how f0cking amazing these guys are. The precision and how close they keep the bar to their body.

Speed off the floor is important, very few lifters are slow. They are all moderately fast off the floorl to fast!

Yeh seems like it’s only the Chinese that do the ‘drop under’ snatch/clean pull.

Just seeing the lifters do their bar work is crazy, and the control they have. They have done soooo many reps that it’s like their body automatically does it and goes into those positions.

It’s the speed and precision is insane mate. INSANE.

PRK and Korean lifters the same.

I saw you on video Koing! You were one of the weight changers for the 94 kgs. Class was pretty stacked. Some awesome lifting.

Yes I saw that too! Unfortunately they did not include the part on TV where Koing went out and did a 234 C&J.

Joking aside the 94’s was far and away the most entertaining lifting so far, maybe with the exception of Lu Xiajun’s lifting.

Yeah the 94s has been the most exciting so far. The 56kg PRK lifter CJ 168 from the B group was CRAZY as well!
