jerks have been always weak point of mine
attempeted 100kg for double again. Focusing on squats of late certainly took away from the lifts.

You don’t get your head through your shoulders and the bar is always in front of you. More so the 2nd Jerk and this is why you didn’t get it. You MUST get your head through.
You receive the bar over head but it’s in front and your shoulders are behind the bar = you will never recover it when it’s heavy.
I have this issue when it’s heavy as well. When I get my head through I make the lift. If I don’t I f0ck it up.
Rack Jerks once a week. Work on the tempo, position and not the weight. The better you are the more likely you will make Jerks count.

I think we’ve only gone head to head once or twice when he tried to move up a weight class, he looks a lot better (and his sinclair is higher) when he’s down in the 94s. Pretty sure I had him straight up when we were in the same weight class though.
I hit 142/177 back in March, next comp snatched 141 and bombed at 175 haha. Spent a little time focusing on squats over the summer (nearly had 230) and still working my way back up with the lifts a little bit. Kind of fat though, been sitting around 111 post-workout. Hit 138/175 at a Klokov seminar today though, which was way more than I expected as I hadn’t hit more than 130/160 since August and trained last night haha. Started using a belt on squats and heavy clean and jerks about a month back too, still kind of figuring it out but it should pay dividends when I do.

111kg BIIIIGGGGGGGG. Probably 108 on accurate scales if not a bit lighter and depending how much you have stuffed yourself that day. Last night I put away 1.5kg between pre and post dinner.
Belt on squats WILL make a difference to you. It’ll take some time getting use to it but it will help for sure.

Yeah, I’ve always been relatively efficient, but I should be able to take down that 230 once I work up there with a belt.

1st attempt-smoked the clean, while I was standing in the rack I was already thinking ahead to my next attempt, not focused, shorted the dip on the jerk and didn’t quite get it to lockout
2nd attempt-bit mindfucked at this point, left it a hair out front on the clean and lost it forward when i went to stand up
3rd attempt-strong clean, strong jerk, called for a pressout, 2 to 1 against (in all fairness, it was a pressout, would’ve been a bit of a gift had they given it to me)

Best front squats are 185x2 and 190x1, though I haven’t really tried to max out a front squat since early May maybe.

Haha I was briefly up around 115.7 over the summer while I was focusing on squats. I think the scales I’m generally on are reasonably accurate, or at least seem to be consistent. Though to be fair, I’m always weighing myself post-workout before I leave the gym, workout pants/shirt on, shoes off, and I generally consume about 2L of water during a workout which offsets whatever I’ve sweated off.

for a 230 BS. I guess the 190 and 185x2 were done with VERY good form and speed. Thus giving you a solid 142 177. Realistically speaking if your FS was sort of inline you’d be bale to do at least 200-205.

When I hit those front squats my best back squat was 216. And yeah, I like to think I hit my front squats with pretty vertical position and good speed.

I’m only a fan of ice cream when I’m on holiday or when I was dieting down. I don’t want ice cream when I’m not dieting.
