Whereabouts currently unknown, my friend. I’ve been doing a lot of heavy squatting/deadlifting lately, but not so much of the Olifts. How is your training going?
lol how come you stopped for a bit on the oly side?
Training is picking up. Still some ways from old strength levels and consequently Olift levels. I’ll be happier when I can at least FS 170 for a triple…

Had a very good meet today. Lifted in the 94s (weighed in at 88.5) and went 5/6. Hit a few PRs!
and the lifts in slow mo for anyone interested:

Congrats mate.
I’d just say pull the bar faster for the Sn in the 1st pull. Pulling slowly is going to limit you a hell of a lot. Just focus on pulling faster and you will be faster.
Good lifting and way to grind that 131! You took ages to set yourself up but you stuck the Jerk! Congrats.

Did battle with koing at the English today, bw: 92.9. Heaviest ever.
Did 115/120x120x both were close though. Then 140/145x/145 pressout on the jerk for second Cj. All in all 260 total, qualified for my first British championships, 298 Sinclair and second place.
Always a pleasure to see koing at comps, really nice guy!
Can’t remember the last time I weighed in at 92.1kg! LOL insane.
I need to compete again to make the total.
Good to meet you again at the comp. We battle next time again!

I’m seeing how my body takes to a more PL-oriented style of training. It’s going well so far.
Did you triple 180 before, or was that your old 1rm?

getting more regular with my training again. hip is doing better.
Tuesday: front squat 98 for triples
Thursday snatch to 65, then hip trouble
Saturday (today) clean and jerk to 90, doubles with 70, 75 with a pause at the knee pendlay style

I’m thinking of doing that too for the time being for a few months until graduation, seeing how my school gym is banning all Olympic lifting.
Jerk looked good ape. nice to see you doing some oly again.
I’m game to bring this log back. I’ve recently power snatched 70 (PR) and power clean from low blocks 93 (PR) and am starting some smolov jr in two weeks.
I trained tonight for the first time in like 10 days or so (don’t ask). Did some snatch that felt pretty rusty, and only did one set of cleans because my elbow is bothering me (goddamn construction job) and the rack position was painful in a bad way.
I’m in the middle of growing a fierce beard though.

I want to grow a fierce beard!

I went with a goatee myself. Can’t stand having too much hair on my neck haha.

It’s at this point you’re supposed to complain that you only started growing facial hair later in life and you have too many financial responsibilities and no support from your government while all those foreign beard-growers started young and have had government support (financial and otherwise) their whole lives and are juiced to the gills to boot. Or just blame genetics, that works too.
ape, when I’m actually trying to look presentable, I trim most of the neck hair. I just think the beard looks better without it and you look a little more groomed and a little less like a lumberjack/mountain man. I’ve had the goatee a couple times too, most recently when I shaved my head on a whim and shaved my beard into a goatee. I looked like a white supremacist (or that guy from breaking bad) for about a month haha.
