Alright, early new year it is. And I almost feel bad for the part I played in sending that thread careening off course over there haha.

Really weird session today, since I managed to double more than what I singled. On another note, my legs and hips felt better after that session and I should be ok to start training more frequently again.

Yeah, you’ll see him pop up on pendlayforum every now and then. Pretty infrequently though.

And I’m going to hazard a guess his “secret training” was either something inspired by Abadjiev/Woodhouse, or something a little off the wall. Either way it’s not something that particularly intrigues me.

It’s alright, nothing too crazy. Been trying to do a little more volume, going to get back into some heavy doubles and singles heading into the comp in 4 weeks. Basically took a week off around the holidays (moved back into my parents house and was on an extended carb-up/cheat meal), but I was snatching 120 for 3 and hitting 150 for 3 cleans plus 2 jerks. Hopefully that’ll translate into some heavier weights and PRs come comp time.

Had 2 weeks off after my last comp. Injured my neck thanks to my thoracic locking up. So I’ve done much the same as you, lots of cheat meals haha. Santa got me a magimix, so I’ve been making some high calorie drinks. Blended half a litre of ice cream 250ml of milk and 6 milky ways. As a result I’m 98kgs!
Not holding to much hope for my comp in Feb, yesterday was first proper training in a while. As a result I’ve got major doms. Long as I get a 260 comp total by May I’m happy. Sleep is a little hindered at the moment thanks to my 14 week old puppy deciding to wake us up at 7am.

Went in with the intention to clean and jerk, but the bottom of my squat didn’t feel good so I power cleaned instead. I haven’t really done any power variations for a while, so they felt like I was pulling really high. Worked up to something that felt good and did triples. I went for max reps on the last set and got 10 lol

I am here. Just perusing lately. Right now I’m not really Olympic lifting… well I am but the main focus is conditioning as I’m prepping for a police academy thingy, so not really posting much workouts.

150 clean at a whopping 97kgs, might have a bit of Xmas weight. Pretty happy with this, been training for the last two weeks with no rest. Had also taken my dog over the fields for the second time in its life this morning, so my legs were tired (sad but true).
