650lbs Squat Finally
Front Squat: 4 x 4 x 117.5kg, 5 x 117.5kg
trap bar deadlifts, low handles, touch and go - 235x14, followed by 215x15.
Due to illness and travelling, this was the first serious workout in three weeks - and the first time ever that I pushed trap bar deads. I felt like taking a nap after this (also because my work capacity is way down right now) but followed it up with weighted chins (which I suck at right now) and split squats. After that, I limped home. Bodyweight in the morning: 170.
390X1 off of 15" box
250X1 incline bench 20 pound PR
I gotta get my deadlift and bench up to 5 and 3 plates so I can finally get into the cool kids club. It looks like my bench is about to hit it. I’ll be happy just hitting 425/315/465 in my meet in June as a light 198 class guy.
Trap bar deadlift: 255x11, t’n’g.
Also, an odd one: snatched a 24k kettlebell for a double on the first attempt ever. I’m sure it looked nasty but hey, up it went.

405 x 3 – 3RM
First time actually pulling 405, even though I did 395 x 5 about 2 months ago. I took a break from these for about 6 weeks.
~440 at the top. Morning bodyweight 156-158.
Five rope climbs within one session.
Monday: trap bar deadlift 270x10
Wednesday: seven rope climbs within one session.
315x4 bench press. 2 rep PR.

Haven’t been on in awhile, but been making slow and steady progress still.
Front squat: 8 x 120kg
Paused Bench: 4 x 5 x 100kg, not an all-time PR, but I’m back to pre-tendonitis strength ![]()
OHP: 3 x 5 x 145lbs
Deadlift: 5 x 210kg, either tied with all-time PR or beat it slightly, but this time was done with completely meet legitimate form and done while I was far from fresh
I also finally got around to doing that deadlift challenge thing I was really into a year ago, but lost interest in (405lbs x 10). Hit all the reps easy enough, with fast reps and only enough time between reps to let the bar come to a dead-stop, but the cardio almost killed me. I need to start prioritizing that shit ASAP.
^ As something to aim for in those deadlifts, I’ve hit 200kg (440lbs) for 12. I think all our lifts (even lower rep deadlifts) are pretty similar, so if deadlift cardio is something you want to aim for, then consider this a friendly challenge.

Zercher Deadlift, normal bar and a t-shirt: 185 x 1 (vs axle and a sweatshirt)
Floor, to knees, to elbows, to standing, then reversed. Just playing around with it during a warmup set, but will probably do these more often.

Damn, you definitely got me beat on the deads. Doubt I could hit 200 for more than 7, maybe 8. I mostly just don’t want to get a heart attack walking up 3 flights of stairs lol. Deadlift goal is 250kg right now, but I’m in as soon as I fix my lordosis.

Finally broke the 190 body weight barrier at 192, I am not as soft as I thought I would be at this point. Maybe get to 200 before I start cutting so I don’t accidentally end up being too much of a fat bastard.
My girl friend Brittany had absolutely amazing squat day. Unwrapped, Wrapped and Reverse Band PRs.
200 for 1 unwrapped squat 5lbs PR.
245 for 1 wrapped squat 15lbs PR.
305 for 2 (amazing grind) with lightish reverse orange band about 60 or so pounds out of the bottom deload fully at top.
140 bw this morning hoping to have a double bw squat by end of the year making it accomplished in just under a year.

Before Easter break I hit 120kg for 2 paused, since then I’ve had 3 weeks of no training at all, followed by 3 weeks of really limited training. Probably capable of a couple of reps at 110kg at the moment, it’s never been my strong point. Race to 10 at 100kg?

Can little ole’ DSSG join in? I’ll do mine either paused, with an extra wide grip, or with a close grip to make it fair. (I think I’ve actually repped 100kgX10+ before with my competition style)
15’ rope climbs - 10 ascents in one session, sans feet. More on this in the 5/3/1 section.
