Good job, a pr is a pr.

floor press 275X1
115X4 barbell curl (just a stupid thing, I got challenged to curl 115)
DB tricep extensions 45’sX12
neutral grip pull ups 55X5

Just some of my stuff. I can’t weight to see what I bench when it comes time to test.

GHR- 20 good reps.

Sort of a PR. Hit a relatively easy 425 squat last night, weighing in at 180 on the dot. I’m at least 10 lbs down in bodyweight from when I hit 315x20, and from when I hit 435. I’ve also done 315x10 for multiple sets at 180 now, and am fully capable of getting 20 still.

7 Mat Pulls w/35lb Chains
375 x 5 (was 360 x 5, as of last night)

Finally hit 2.5x BW for 5 on these. That should put my deadlift from the floor a bit over 375. I’ll probably test that soon. Bodyweight is sitting around 152 right now.

Looks like your dead is coming along nicely!

Yesterday went back to benching for the 3rd time since 6 months ago and hit 4 x 5 x 95kgs, 6 x 95kg. Comp style paused benching, so I’m pretty happy with how that’s been coming along. Expecting some good progress in the next few months.

Also seated DB pressed the 70s (lbs) for 3 x 8 right after, nice deep reps. Good training sesh.

210kg DL

Hit a bench PR last night. After doing 5 sets of 4 at 300, I hit 8 reps on my AMRAP 6th set for a new 8 rep max! BW this morning, 165.4 lbs.

You are getting PR’s almost every day it seems. Wow! nice

Pulled 200kg for 9 beltless, not as good a day as the week before.

Power snatched 80kg.

Hey guys, been following this thread for a while, lots of good stuff going on in here! Finally had something I wanted to share.

A long time ago, probably 5+ years, I set a long-term, lifetime lifting goal to someday bench press 2x bodyweight, squat 2.5x, and deadlift 3x. Got the deadlift first, then the bench, and yesterday I got the squat! Feels pretty great, and I guess it’s time to make some new goals. As for actual numbers, my morning weight was 167 yesterday and I’ve benched 350, deadlifted 555, and yesterday I squatted 425.

Nice! Sorry for the dumb question, but how tall are you?

It definitely is.

Why’s this only the 3rd bench session in 6 months? Injury, or just doing other stuff?

7 Mat Pulls w/35lb Chains
390 x 1 (was 385 x 1)

~425 at top.

High bar squat 180kg x 5 belted

Block pull from 3 inches below the knee - 220kg x 5, 240kg x 1

Not dumb at all, quite relevant lol I’m 5’8. I realize all that “bench 2x bodyweight, squat 2.5x, and deadlift 3x bodyweight” talk sounded more impressive until I said I was 167 pounds, but I’m still quite happy with it.

Dude, there are plenty of 200lbs guys who couldn’t beat your numbers.

Deadlift - 270x10. On a bad day.
Also, Bench - 145x12.

My numbers indicate that right now, I’d be good for drumroll an 800 total!!1! (250/200/350)

I know, I know. Keep your pants on. Maybe someday I’ll get to that 1000 total that AnytimeJake expects his hockey players to reach within a year.

Those are serious accomplishments. I don’t think you realize how good they are. Ever consider doing a PL meet? If you’re walking around at 167, you wouldn’t even have to do a cut to compete as a 165. Those would be classified as ‘elite’ in several raw federations, and even by USPA standards, they’re almost elite. That’s huge man.

Hey thanks a lot man I appreciate the kind words. I actually did decide to compete, there’s a meet in my city in July that I’ve signed up for. It’ll be good to have a more concrete goal I’m training for for the next six months.

Hit a squat PR for any bodyweight, which was 405x4. That was a 3 rep PR, and I would have probably gotten 5 reps with a spotter or safety pins. I had neither.

Bodyweight 179.5, at the end of the session. Probably translates to about 175 morning weight.

Deadlifts, 190kg x 13 - belted and strapped
