Nice. Parallel bar dips?

Figure I’d try to go literal with “strong first post.”

I started training seriously back in June after my rehabbing of a knee injury from an alpine climb went too slowly.

Back in June:
155# high bar back squat
145# bench
305# deadlift
2 pull ups / 3 chins

This month:
385# sumo squat (315# hb back squat atg, haven’t tested it against 385#)
245# bench
425# deadlift
125# OHP (with a hurt shoulder)
5 pull ups / 5 chin ups

Only 5 chins because I get bored.

Well that’s some progress^

Recently: Squat 187.5kg x 3

Deadlift 220kg x 1

Bench 115kg x 2 x 2

Today: OHP 70kg x 2 x 2

BTN push press 100kg x 3 and 105kg x 1

Yeah, it’s a start.

There’s a DL only powerlifting comp local to me that’s taking place in late January, I want to get in on that, but I’ll probably want to drop a few pounds to get into a more reasonable weight bracket.

Strong numbers on yours, a 70kg ohp would have me shuckin’ and jivin’ like I had parkinsons.

Deadlift, beltless, hook grip

Mat Pulls w/35lb Chains
345 x 5 – 5lb PR

Yes.

Last rep for every set was a grinder.

Deadlift - 330x1, done after the 1+ set on 531. I think that 350 or so is probably my current max; we’ll see.

7 Mat Pulls w/35lb Chains
350 x 5

Bar is 13" high. I measured it today.

Squat 195kg x 2

7 Mat Pulls w/35lb Chains
355 x 5

13" off the floor? that doesn’t sound like seven mats…

If the plates are regulation size, the bar sits 8.5" off the floor. It seems mine are a little smaller than that. But, when it’s all measured with the mats, is actually 13". (I thought it would be 14", actually. 5.5" mats + 8.5"… but no)

There’s a lot of 18" deadlifts as strongman events, which is to the bar, not the plates.

Z Presses
110 x 5 – new 5RM

Beltless deadlift - 190kg double overhand, 220kg hook grip

Press 70kg x 3, 72.5kg x 2

Deadlift: 132.5kg x10

First attempt at full oly lifting - 155 clean&jerk. Admittedly, I’ve seen prettier things, but it still went up pretty easily.
