New PR's Part 2

Squat 140kg squat x 10

I mangeged 2 sets of 6 at 25lb on assisted chin ups one day ill be able to do them with out using a machine lol!

Deadlift 170kg x 5

205 lb front squat a few weeks ago. I think i could probly get 2 plates now

100kg deadlift used chalk for the first time, best thing ever 6 reps pretty easy looking foward to trying 110/115kg next week

195X5 conventional stance good morning off of #12 pin
135X8 trips 1 arm farmer walk
45X13 back extension

Snatch-Grip Deadlifts: ramped to 245 x 1, 10lb PR. I had more in me, but I’m still working into these and I felt the tiniest twinge in my low back so I called it.

Also, ate 5 eye of chuck steaks in the last 24 hours (about 3lbs). Quite delicious. This is a 4 steak PR

325x6 dead…nothing special in the grand scheme of things, but for hitching 135 (damn goblet walks) on my warm sets it’s decent. lol

Finally hit that 165 snatch grip high pull. About time.

LIfting in my unheated garage, in 38 degree weather, in cold-weather gear makes for an interesting experience. Just some basic ECWCS gen 3 clothing. So far it seems like this is going to work through the winter… I’m not toasty, I’m not freezing, just comfortable. Thank you defense spending budget for giving me something I can use.

It was a good week for me. 375 x 2 on back squat, 445 on the deadlift, and 275 front squat (just started doing these this month).

Edit: Just hit 380 x 2 on the back squat…getting closer to 400

385 for 3 Front Squat.

Hmmm… Haven’t posted here for awhile.

Conventional deadlift: hit a triple at 195kg, paying close attention to form, so not too shabby.
3s paused squats: haven’t done these in awhile. Did a triple at 135kg.
1.5" deficit DLs: worked up to a triple at 180kg.
CoC#1.5: 9 reps with my right hand (though the last rep was most certainly assisted).

While not a PR, I hit a 190kg dead for 4 triples today which I was pleased about since I don’t normally do heavy deads for anything remotely resembling volume lol.

Also, not really a PR, but kind of an indicator of progress that’s kind of relevant: how I look. Recently I’ve noticed something that’s pretty sweet. People don’t ask me if I lift anymore, now they ask me if I lift every day. I’m starting to be accepted by the big guys as one of them (albeit still the smallest and weakest haha).

Regular guys treat me like the authority on training. It’s a pretty good feeling. Anybody else notice stuff like this?

hi guys, i havent been posting here for quite a while, but only recently (last wednesday), i kinda hit one of my goals that i’ve set in the beginning of this year, which was to hit a 2.5X bodyweight deadlift! i’m really happy to see myself progress in the weights i’ve lifted, considering i could only deadlift 80kg (176lbs) in early Jan this year.

So this is me, 10 months later, still weighing in fairly the same weight (60kg, 135lbs), lifting 150kg(330lbs) raw.

the form is a lil crappy, but im still quite happy i actually did a 150kg pull!! but ofcourse, any feedback on my form would be greatly appreciated!!

People are mostly astonished by my muscle/lifts. And I wear large shirts like smalls/mediums now. My 250 bench is also legendary amongst my school.

Yesterday’s PR’s: 215X2 front squats against light bands, this is just a default PR
135X8 clean grip reverse lunges
55X25s weighted plank
bwX13 strict NGHR now to get this to 5X12 for 60 total reps…

Deadlift 330x7(PR Since Breaking my hand twice)

Front Squat 345x1(with rehbands)

I wonder when you’ll get a PR in humility

455 for 3 singles on the deadlift

Added an extra level to my pull-up pyramid today for 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-6-5-4-3-2-1. Comes to 49 reps in about 8 minutes. Some of the reps on the way down were a bit cheaty but that can be ironed out next week. I think I could get 10 honest reps now so will probably test soon.

On the other hand, I had to ditch the last rep of Front Squat 5x95kg, so looks like I’m be resetting my TM after 6 cycles.

My school is middle school to 9th (pre International baccalaureate) at the moment, and will go up to 11th, and 12th being only IB classes. So technically speaking I am a senior here, and there is no one older than me.

Off to PR’s:

School: 100% on an end of chapter Math test, 98% on a science test, B honors so far which I am fighting to bring up to an A honors.

lifting: 245X6 yates rows
foot raised inverse rows bwX17
3 second pause dumbbell shrugs 80’sX17

Finally hit 405 on the squat. 2 sets of 1.
