How do you like these? Do you do these standing? How far do you bring the bar down?
I was doing these standing for awhile, liked them a lot. I used to do them pretty much from just under the ears up. The one time I loosened up and lowered them further left me with impingement issues for 6 months (which seem to be healing almost miraculously now though, thanks to utlra-high rep lightweight shoulder work.)
Even so, I still think they’re awesome.
I love 'em! I do them standing and bring the bar down to about ear level. I know that they have caused a lot of people impingement issues, so I try to be careful and do them strict and not very heavy. Also, as awesome as they hit my delts, I don’t plan on doing them long-term. I’m just hoping for some carryover to my standing OHP (which I find to be more of an exercise of technique than a good strength builder in and of itself).
Today I got 5 dead-hang chins with 50lbs of chains attached.
HB squats (beltless): 5 x 5 x 132.5kg
Leg press dropset: 9 plates x 9 → 8 plates x 4 → 4 x 7 plates → 3 x 6 plates
BTN press: 2 x 6 x 135lbs
Alt DB curls: 6 x 55lbs

Thats a lot of water weight. Do you have a comp?
Yeah I did. I suffered for the cut bad though all lifts suffered horribly and I missed pretty much every goal I had except Bench believe it or not. Hit 565/320/560 at 201

This is the part that kinda impresses me.

Thanks, man! I appreciate it.
BTN presses have given me some amazing strength gains lately. Now its about as strong as my standing OHP was before I started BTN pressing (about 1-1.5 mo ago), after starting with a working weight of 95lbs lol. I think I finally found the solution to the crappiness of my press
