How do you like these? Do you do these standing? How far do you bring the bar down?

I was doing these standing for awhile, liked them a lot. I used to do them pretty much from just under the ears up. The one time I loosened up and lowered them further left me with impingement issues for 6 months (which seem to be healing almost miraculously now though, thanks to utlra-high rep lightweight shoulder work.)

Even so, I still think they’re awesome.
I love 'em! I do them standing and bring the bar down to about ear level. I know that they have caused a lot of people impingement issues, so I try to be careful and do them strict and not very heavy. Also, as awesome as they hit my delts, I don’t plan on doing them long-term. I’m just hoping for some carryover to my standing OHP (which I find to be more of an exercise of technique than a good strength builder in and of itself).

Today I got 5 dead-hang chins with 50lbs of chains attached.

285 x 1 Squat (18lbs PR)
140 x 1 Press (5lbs PR)

The squat specialization program worked. Increased my 1RM from 235 to 285 in a month.
Nice progress!

205kg deadlift

Incline bench: 205lbs x 5

750g jar of Nutella in 29:20

225x4 Front squat. Should be exploding up assuming my hip doesn’t flare up…

That’s impressive.

Been noticing my sleeves have been fitting very snug lately. First time I’ve gotten a rip in my sleeve.

Then I remembered I was wearing an XS shirt…

… how?

430x5 deadlifts I posted the video in my log

Deadlift PRs. 315 x 3, 335 x 1… 30lb PR, from training high-bar squats.

Thats a lot of water weight. Do you have a comp?

HB squats (beltless): 5 x 5 x 132.5kg
Leg press dropset: 9 plates x 9 → 8 plates x 4 → 4 x 7 plates → 3 x 6 plates
BTN press: 2 x 6 x 135lbs
Alt DB curls: 6 x 55lbs

Yeah I did. I suffered for the cut bad though all lifts suffered horribly and I missed pretty much every goal I had except Bench believe it or not. Hit 565/320/560 at 201

Hit 180x1 on my bench variation. 5lb PR. Attempted 185 and missed. Maybe in a week or two.

Also 175x3, which was my previous 1RM from… last week? The week before? Something like that.

Variation is… moderate incline pin press, dead stop, from the bottom, upper arms no lower than parallel.

This is the part that kinda impresses me.

This is the part that really impresses me.

Very nice.
Squat 225x8x4 and 235/240x10x3. Both volume PRs.

Thanks, man! I appreciate it.

BTN presses have given me some amazing strength gains lately. Now its about as strong as my standing OHP was before I started BTN pressing (about 1-1.5 mo ago), after starting with a working weight of 95lbs lol. I think I finally found the solution to the crappiness of my press

How’s the squatting everyday been going?
