Reed…you’re brilliant.
Lol, I just found that thread. Well put.
Lol I don’t even remember who I said that to.

Slight Incline Bench from Pins
Ramped to 165, PR, but I’m not sure if by 5 or 10lbs.
I had raised the pins for that session, so it was kind of new.
Anyway… new PR, because again, I haven’t done it this way.
Mild Incline Bench from Pins
Ramped to 150
The bench is now probably 30 degrees, the pins are around 3" off my chest. With my arch, it puts the actual incline probably more like 15-20 degrees, but it seems to hit a good mix of upper and lower chest now.

You’re pressuring me to get back to squatting. After the new year…

Why have you not been squatting in the first place???

Apparently mine does too. I couldn’t drop the idea, so I went out just to see where I was.
I was ramping up and I had to dump the bar at 215.
Last time I did a squat workout (in July), it was 210 x 20. Lol.
545 for 5 against Light Bands.
Still getting used to a High Bar and more narrower stance, but I feel 1000x more comfortable and very happy with this. All time PR with this exercise.
Snatch grip deadlifted 125kg with hook grip, then my thumbs exploded.
Sumo pulled 185kg for a 15kg PR.
Conventionalled 185kg straight after for a beltless PR
So good deadlifting all round

545lbs 3" Deficit Deadlift for a Single Belt only.

Agreed. That’s practically sacrilegious to a powerlifter. And props on that 545 3" deficit DL. A 2" deficit is already a humbling experience.
First day back to training after taking a week off and going on a vacation of drinking and debauchery and its associated lifestyle. So I’m down 3lbs BW and lost a shit ton of work capacity (though not so much strength). Ah well, twas fun. I still hit a one-arm DB row PR today (105lbs x 10, though the last 2 reps definitely had some body english). After the whole lats everyday thing, taking a little break (and using straps more) seems to have strengthened the buggers a good bit, even if my recovery was less than ideal (and that’s putting it VERY lightly).
270X3 wide stance parallel box squat
50X8 bent leg poor man reverse hyper
PR’s from yesterday. Box squats feel so much easier on my joints, and destroy everything on the backside of me.
Also, great job Reed. Still killing things I see. ![]()
Oh, I forgot this.
135X6 kroc row with very little body english at the end

Nice work on the deadlifts. My deadlift has been extremely weak-sauce lately deadlifting with a bench/squat bar instead of a bar that has a lot of whip. But unfortunately the bar with a lot of whip I have is not very strong…

I was under the impression that Kroc rows are typically done high-rep.
Good job though ![]()

To be honest I wasn’t doing kroc rows, just normal one arm DB rows. I’ll be doing actual kroc rows next time.
