Never Seen BB Rows Done This Way

Did you ever contemplate that he reached his ideal body goals or his perceived genetic peak and was/is happy with maintaining his physique? Also you do realize the general process of aging once you reach the age of 30 makes it more difficult to make gains and maintain what you do have? Have a look around at bodybuilders from the past vs their present states, how many of them are bigger and stronger than they used to be in their 20s and 30s? I’m willing to bet none or very, very few.

You sound bit naive to me. Weightlifting and bodybuilding isn’t some linear progressive path where you continually progress at the same rate.

Regarding his videos, why shouldn’t he post them? You talk like he has no right too spread his enthusiasm for fitness b/c of his “piddly” progress. Get real. Lots of coaches and trainers look less impressive than he does, combine that with the fact that it’s kind of obvious his target audience is beginners, and I’d say he deserves some gratitude for spreading his love of fitness.
Well, gee, hum…yeah I contemplated all of that up until the point he mentioned in his videos that he works out exclusively at home…only to contradict that statement on his own website.

I could explain the part again about how he is misleading beginners by telling them that they can achieve his level of development by working out using the methods he prescribes in his vids, even though anybody with an ounce of gym time under their belt would know that’s a pile of crap.

Oh and just to tie up a loose end, he doesn’t dispense advice to beginners only…check his site - he has an advanced program.

Saying that you think we are all “naive” for falling for it only shows your own lack of experience.

Another sheep in a wolfskin…

he should tell people how he ACTUALLY got to look like he does.
He should. Except he won’t do it because “the truth” isn’t marketable to the masses. They can’t get a body like he has by working out at home with minimal equipment. “The truth” is much less dramatic but is much harder.

His emphasis on “technique” over weight wouldn’t take him very far. Anybody who thinks otherwise is a fool…or not experienced enough to tell the difference.

Funny how you were all ripping on his physique for being small and weak, now apparently you can’t attain his physique working out at home b/c his level of development is to advanced to be a byproduct of a home gym and his methods. I workout mostly at home, I haven’t watched all his videos like you apparently have besides the ones in this thread, but a home gym can be more productive than a regular gym - It’s what you want to make of it.

funny how you also say I called you all naive, when I’m quoting someone specifically.

Funny how you also mention you contemplated all that, and then interject with some irrelevant point about him contradicting himself about working out at home. What does him working out at a gym or at home have to do with my statement of: "Did you ever contemplate that he reached his ideal body goals or his perceived genetic peak and was/is happy with maintaining his physique?

Also you do realize the general process of aging once you reach the age of 30 makes it more difficult to make gains and maintain what you do have? I’m defending his apparently abysmal and less than average level of physique that some of you have said he has for weightlifting for as long as he has with this statement. Your point is completely irrelevant to this statement.

I’m not going to go watch all his videos just so I can judge whether or not his prescribed methods are optimal for mass gain, but I don’t have too, b/c it doens’t matter, you’re completely missing his goal with the website and videos. Most people don’t want to go to a gym, at least initially b/c they’re self conscious, or they don’t perceive themselves as having the time or money to go, may find it intimidating, etc.

He’s offering them an alternative - too workout at home and still build a nice physique with some simple equipment. His goal is to give back to the fitness community, by encouraging people to take up weightlifting, by offering them FREE videos and information via his website. If he had something to gain, you might have something with your marketability argument, but from my brief visit over to his website, I don’t see anything being sold, so that point is moot.

So again he seems to be a nice guy, is in great shape for his age, any age really, and is trying to give back to fitness community with free information. The fact that any of you have a problem with him is pathetic.

Funny how I never once ripped on his physique. If you’re not going to even bother watching his vids or review his site properly to see the obvious double standard there, then why are you defending the guy? Oh yeah, he’s a nice guy giving out all that free information, so he deserves to be defended. Shame that same info is so misleading.

just shut up already. Ok we get it you like this guys physique.

The facts are he’s giving out advice and information that is misleading and untrue. He didn’t get that physique from working out exclusively at home using his prescribed techniques for the past 27 years.

Why are you guys arguing about it? Those are facts. This guys just trying to make money of off people who dont know any better just like a lot of other people out there.

This is a bodybuilding site and even more importantly this is the body building forum. You arent going to build an impressive body with his home workout methods.

According to his bio, 27 years…
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

27 years… lol
For perspective, I’ve been training [seriously] for about 3 years.

After 27 years, barring some SERIOUS injuries happening, I’ll be a HELL of a lot stronger and bigger than I am now. If I looked like scooby after 27 years of training, I wouldn’t be ashamed of my physique…but I also wouldn’t be posting instructional videos, when obviously his methods haven’t worked all THAT well after over 2.5 decades of trial and [apparently too much] error.
I mentioned this to you in another thread, but there is a point of diminishing returns, especially for someone training naturally. I try not to get into the whole “roids vs natural” debate too much, but to think you’ll be twice as large as you are now in another 5 years is (I think) a little naive.

This guy looks PHENOMENAL for being 50 (so long as he’s a natural trainee).

Can anyone here blame this guy for trying to make a few dollars by targeting complete noobs who don’t want to work out in a gym?

This guys website reminds me of the first website I used to make a bodybuilding routine, this guy called Lee Hayward. Luckily this guy was actually a competitive bodybuilder that encouraged use of the powerlifts and sensible nutrition. This guys websites info is pretty shitty compared to Lee’s but they’re simlilar in concept.

You really don’t know how he built his body in first place so stop pretending you do. And he’s not selling anything, so how is he trying to make money?

why is this piece of shit thread still alive?

it was already stated that there are videos of him working out in a gym so he obviously didnt build his body by working out exclusively at home. Pretty easy logic to put those two together.

Obviously your logic is flawed. That is speculation, not fact. Just b/c there is a video here and there doesn’t mean too much. Unless he told you specifically or you were a workout buddy of his, you wouldn’t know where he spent the majority of his 27 years training. I wo at home mostly, but I still go to gym at times for certain reasons like travel or if I’m going with someone else. He may have similar reasons or just prefer doing video shoots at a nice facility. Anyway, the point is he may or may not have built his physique at a commercial gym. The fact is you really don’t know for certain so stop jumping to conclusions based on speculation.

^^You are an idiot. thats a terrible argument. You say I’m wrong because there is no proof that he used to workout in a gym but you’re using the same “flawed Logic” to say and assume that he maybe just went there for the shoot. Stop arguing about stupid stuff. You’re not sounding smart here.

The fact is you dont really know if he works out exclusively at home (cause you’re not his ex training partner) so stop jumping to conclusions based on speculation.

everything argument you’ve used to discredit what I said works the exact same way for what you stated FIRST.

Im done talking with you about this cause its a waste of time.

It’s great logic, you’re the idiot if you can’t follow along. All I did was provide a counterargument and possible explanation for his video(s)/pic(s) in the gym, which is quite different than your alleged factual statement of “He didn’t get that physique from working out at home using his prescribed techniques for the past 27 years.” Care to back that up with some facts? What’s that? You can’t, that’s what I thought genius. As I said you couldn’t possibly know for certain, so stop pretending too. Unlike you I made no such definite conclusions, instead offering up possibilities, so no, I am not using the same flawed logic you used.

Don’t reply next time if you can’t handle someone counter arguing your stupid juvenile posts.

EDIT: I deleted my previous posts cause this is dumb and I dont care to argue about it. if I left them up this would just keep going lol

Because Josher switched to a second account to spout the same shit but wasn’t inventive enough to create a username without ‘josh’ in it. I think that accurately sums up his contrbution here.
