Zach Khan's Arms Bigger Than Heath's?

I work with two BBers who were messed up (in a physique sense) last year by Zacks’ prep guru.

They are both far more happy (and big, full, lean with less lagging bodyparts) working with me than they were working with that guy, even though he charges 4 x what I do!

Nice to be appreciated and to know you can do a better all round job than someone who looks after a guy who stands on stage with the top BBers of the moment.

Mind you, I have 3 guys who I think can go pro working under me at the moment.

Anyway, I was encouraged to email Zach and offer my services, by some people that know him. Alas, i was informed by a friend of his (one of my BBers) that he is tied into a contract with his prep guru to give him a % of his show winnings.

Shame.

BUT, I recently met and advised a guy who has competed at the olympia before (saw pictures - amazing). He was on the cusp of going full-pro (i.e. making his living from the sport), but his head went and he got into the party scene.

He wants to compete again and I’m considering offering him my sevices for free, just to show all the oldschool BBers in the area, what a more modern approach might look like.

I’m not surprised you did a good job with those guys, mate. It’s a shame to hear that he’s locked into a contract like that, it doesn’t raise my opinion of prep gurus at all!

I’d be interested to know who your new client is, but I guess that might not be something you can talk about.
Well spoke to the guy and he “would love to get on board with me” but only for the chemical and some nutritional help. He’s very old school and wants to do his own training. I said “Fine, why don’t we introduce a couple of ‘new school’ factors this year and assuming you’re please with the results, we can look to introduce more next year.”

So I get to work with a seasoned guy who really knows his body.

Also, I have an athlete client from the same area. A boxer, he was under Frank Warren and had all sorts of high-level professional accolades… Until his head went (notice a theme here? I think I need to develop my psychology skills - cool!) and he spent time in jail.

Wants to make a comeback. I muscle tested him on wheat and he went weak so we are going to modify his diet to more of an elimination protocol. This will help him lose some excess weight, etc. as well as making him more sharp mentally and physically.

Interesting times.

You completely missed my point. Arnold is one of the greatest bodybuilders of all time. This is undisputable.
BULLSHIT. He isn’t. He is one of the most personable and maybe even one of the most memorable historically, but the greatest bodybuilder? What the fuck?

Flex Wheeler at his best standing next to Arnold would leave Arnold in the dust.

Flex just isn’t a household name.

Arnold is the most popular. Popularity does not mean you actually physically beat everyone else who ever crossed a stage.

Arnold would have a hard time even winning an NPC contest today with the competition that is out there.
same thing would apply to Sergio.

It’s theater - simple as that. Yea - the fact that it’s focused on his nearly nude body certainly lends creedence to the whole exhibitionist/sexual angle, but it’s theater.

The guy is creative, and really I just see his routines as a by-product of that mentality. As was pointed out, BB will never be mainstream, so why does everyone seem to feel that it eventually MUST be!

Ben Weider went to his grave trying…

I disagree. When i see Kai’s routine, i see this:

Lolz that guy was at the Atlantic States but I didn’t see hime pose, however, 3 others on stage were fat slobs, I laughed so hard when they were posing.

Sarev0k if this is what you see when you watch Kai…well then you’re fucking hopeless bro.

You’d likely say a scribble from a child is the same as a brushstroke from a master. Sarevok try not to scribble on the walls of life w/ your crayons too much, and don’t eat the blue crayons, for Christ sake they are not candy.

EDIT: sorry i just watched the vid, i didn’t realize it’s premise until after viewing, you are obviously kidding. that guy is dual diagnosed likely mild to moderate MR + some schizophrenia type malady to boot.

i’ll save that initial insult directed toward you and save it for some of the true nut jobs on this site

We have had people on this site before trying to jump on stage when they were carrying about as much muscle as that guy. I think that mentality is more rampant than some believe…but yes, I agree, comparing this guy to Kai is a joke.

Zach Khan just tore two tendons above his knees hack squatting and underwent surgery. His pro debut will have to be delayed for a while. This is a pretty serious injury to go through. Hopefully he’ll be able to recover 100%. We’ll see what happens.

I was actually just going to post this. Yeah it totally sucks for him.

Are you kidding me man? Kai has a great phisique, as I have said already, but going onstage and stripping out of a robe with a luchador mask on? I’m sure even you can agree that it’s pretty stupid.

I don’t think it is a joke to compare Kai’s routine to the break dancer OR the mental guy’s.

Bodybuilding will obviously never be mainstream, but how are people supposed to look at it seriously with dumb stuff like this?

I was really looking foward to seeing him on a pro stage.

I was also trying to bring this thread back on topic, somewhat.

They’re not, and they never will. Just the sight of someone like Kai is enough to completely freak out the average person - the luchador mask, or lack of said mask, isn’t going to make one bit of difference.

I have to agree. It isn’t like “lack of luchador” is causing the rest of the world to view bodybuilding like basketball.

Honestly, this activity is for the freaks…the people who want to stand apart from the rest of society physically. This will apparently always cause feelings of inadequacy or outright hatred in people more “normal”…so they will bash it to make it go away.

I really don’t see that changing much…especially since even some here seem to have that problem.

I don’t even want bodybuilding to be mainstream.

The sport will never be mainstream. It takes too much effort and dedication to be successful. The average guy (myself included) doesn’t have the time, energy or genetics to say " I can do that" which leads to people not accepting or embrasing the ahtletes or the sport. Add to that the element of the Roids and people are tuned out.

Take baseball or basketball. On any given day on the gym/field we can all make a great play and walk away with " I could have been a pro". We relate instantly. But how often do you go into the gym and see someone with a truly great physique? A 5’8 160lb guy isn’t looking in the mirror and saying I could be Zach Khan or Kai Greene.

I know what you are getting at, but if anyone is playing flag football on the weekends and claiming they could have been a pro from one good pass to their neighbor down the street while playing at the public park, then they are just as delusional as the guys who try to compete in bodybuilding when they have no muscle.

The truth is, they have just as much of a chance being a professional athlete earning millions as they do having the genetics to build really big muscles.

However, I agree in the sense they can PRETEND they are really good at playing football better than they can PRETEND to have really big/strong muscles.

You can’t fake 50+" chest or 30" quads.
