Where is Chad Waterbury Anyway?

I’m sure I’m not his only fan though I’m sure I am the only fan of other things. With everyone bringing him up with perfect rep it makes me wonder why we don’t hear from him much anymore.

Ran away maybe? :stuck_out_tongue:

I talked to him in an email a while ago and he said that he’s working on a project so he hasn’t been able to be on T-Nation for a while.

Either too busy with his own business or got slammed so much on here that he figured it wasn’t worth writing here anymore.

I like the guy and his articles he wrote that pertain to HIS business - not articles that pertained to his business and had the word “bodybuilding” in the title or in the text.

Well, I, for one, got a lot of good results out of his programs. I thought they were definitely better than the stereotypical New Groundbreaking Routine that said do 3-4 sets of 10-12 reps on 4 exercises per body part.

That’s a shame, because 3 to 4 sets of 2 to 4 exercises per bodypart works - has worked for over SIX DECADES!

Why is is that whenever I click “photos” for a person making these types of posts thre are none, ALWAYS?

Waterbury will always be around here, he is one of the main reasons this site is where its at today. I’m sure he’s got an article coming soon, but the mans been so successful I’m sure he’s busy and doesn’t have time to deal with all the keyboard warriors.

Chad never gets the credit he deserves… He hinted about peri-workout nutrition before it became the flavor of the week, he wrote extensively about how to recruit fast-twitch fibers, and his workouts are more geared towards fitness (which is a little bit more healthy by the way) than most authors who are more geared toward bodybuilding.

Dude: CW has more than his fair share of credit, jock-grabbers, fans, and clients. Don’t worry so much. I have 2 of his books, and I like them. I use them more now because, as you speak of, I’m more interested in general fitness now. However, just because I like him and that I’m in a position where I follow his material now, I don’t get the topics of general fitness, bodybuilding, and strength and conditioning twisted! His methods are unlike what any successful bodybuilder does or has ever done and would have most bodybuilders’ progress come to a halt. Full-body sessions and off-the-wall, complicated “progression” and set-and-rep schemes, lack of direct arm work, and lack of isolation exercises aren’t part of a serious bodybuilder’s toolbox.

(Don’t give me this "there’s no isolation shit; you people know what the fuck I’m talking about!)

Well the forum says bodybuilding so how about ask the question in the fitness area if you want to bash bodybuilding programs.

Yet they are ALL making amazing progress…that they are all too shy to share with the rest of us.

I know if I was making amazing progress, I wouldn’t be ashamed to show it off.

Then why the fuck are you in this forum? Care to post those pictures?

Ok, sorry. I didn’t mean this to become a forum for some jackasses to come in and start bashing everyone else. I guess I’ll delete it.

It was actually supposed to be posted elsewhere, but I guess it was reclassified as bodybuilding. I guess if it gets taken over by people that just wanna bash each other and cuss then it will be reclassified again as trash.

I cant believe you’ve made it to 130 posts and you are just realizing thats how people roll around here. Just learn to ignore them.

That sounds like an outline for a chapter in your book on trolling bodybuilding forums.

Well, I was actually just kind of being funny about this forum anyway. I really didn’t expect anyone to know where Chad was (probably not even Chad). Anyway, I doubt I’ll post on here again so post away nay sayers

Man you guys are vicious… To the OP dont worry about Waterbury he’s doing his thing. By the way ‘Alpha’ followed Waterburys workouts and he pwns just about EVERYONE on this site.

If he trains his arms than he didn’t “follow” anything written by Waterbury. He did his own version of a full body/upper lower/push pull geared towards building a proportional physique. Far different than simply “following Waterbury”. Keep stirring the pot big guy.

Alpha weight trained his entire body 3x a week, period! …He is also a fan of Waterbury’s book Muscle Revolution and uses workouts from it. Tell me how this is not following Waterbury’s methods!!! Have you ever read any of his books? If you have you would know he throws in direct arm work such as barbell curls, hammer curls, rope p downs, skull crushers, preacher curls you name it into his workouts… Why are you commenting on something you know so little about? Stick to the steroid forum young guru.

Waterbury wouldn’t be around for as long as he has been and as successful as he has been if his methods didn’t work… This topic turned ugly when the OP said his style of training is ‘healthier’ than regular bodybuilding training which is retarded and does deserve some criticism. But you CAN build a badass physique training your full body 3x a week if workouts are structured well.

I think Waterbury dietary and lifestyle recommendations shun some people from his training methods more than anything else. In his last book Huge in a Hurry he recommends something like a 1/4 cup of organic raisins and a shake post workout when trying to gain mass. LOL no one wants to hear that foo foo shit… Especially no one trying to pursue something as elusive as bodybuilding… Would a 1/4 cup of organic raisins do the trick? Probably… Will I be following that recommendation? HELL NO! I’ma slam my 10 g peptopro/10 g of added leucine/5g bcaa’s/5 g creatine/2g beta-alanine/60g of waxy maize starch! That foo foo recommendation than effects my view on his training… Train 3x a week?! F that foo foo shit I’ma hit it hard 5x a week… F’in organic raisins…
