Ok, stepped on the scale yesterday at 192 lbs. I am 5’7 and been lifting consistently for 6 months now. I started at 176 so I’m definently happy with the progress. I now can say that anybody can gain because I thought it was impossible for me. My goal is to get to 200 lbs by October.
I am curious about what the vets do cutting wise. I mean how often do you cut? Should I cut at 200 or continue to push the envelope? I have put on considerable weight for my size but I still would like to get a little bigger. But I also dont want to overdue it. Thanks for taking the time to read this post.
You can adjust your bulk or your energy expenditure to gain a bit less fat, possibly.
You can just keep going until you get to a point that after your cutting you’ll be happy with where you’ve gotten and not immediately jump into another large bulk.

it depends what your goals are.
wanna look good naked? going for size? strength? are you lifting for a sport or are you just trying to impress the 90lb cheerleader with the big sweater cows next door?
figure the goals are and then the vets can help ya more.

Don’t get me wrong. I definently want to look good. I’m not playing any sports now. Just lifting. Played soccer in college and now I am lifting like I have always wanted to. I’m also not looking to get huge but I guess from being so thin my whole life I have a complex about being small. I wonder if maybe I should just post pics.
There is no hard and fast rule that you have to cut after x amount of time. If you are getting stronger adding muscle and happy with the way you look then keep building. Like vroom said if you manipulate your nutrition properly you can keep gaining for years while not really putting on gross amounts of fat. Keep reading and learning during this time and speaking of Vroom visit his beginners thread.

this is what i did,i overshot what i wanted by 20lbs and now after losing 5,i might only lose 5-10 more.
Instead of posting pictures, you could simply take pictures (for yourself) and see where you think you should go from there.
I was relying on the mirror too much (which could be good for some) but I would try to find the right light, and right poses to make myself look better, and didn’t realize how out-of-hand my fatness was getting.
I just went too far (for me) and after seeing pictures of myself sideways it was just what I needed to decide to lose some fat for a while.
It’s a good idea to bulk until you’re happy with the amount of muscle you have, but I need to lose some fat to see how much muscle I actually have now.
If you’re not putting on too much fat, and you still want to get bigger, keep going with it. I think ultimatley it will be easier to lose any excess fat later.
B rocK was right. You need to figgure out your (attainable) goals first, and as you reach them, make new ones.
