Tossing the BS flag on the Bisbane fight.[/quote]
Hey Equib,
I think you are being nice here.
That was an absolute load of bullshit.
The UFC should be embarrassed.
Bisping should be embarrassed.
How the hell Bisping hopped up on that ring and waved his hands in the air like he deserved to win that fight is beyond me.
Hamil clearly won the first two rounds with the third being a toss up between hamil’s control on top and bispings only effective striking combinations in the entire fight.
That wasn’t just a homer call. How can one judge give hamil the fight 30 to 27 (a clean sweep) and then the other two give the split to bisping.
That was not as bad as Randleman and Bas Rutten, but it was pretty bad.
If you go out on some of the mma sites, you will find that 99.9% of the posts agree that hamil was fucked. Somebody made a good point that at the end of the fight they couldn’t even show a highlight for bisping. He had no friggin highlights to show and he won the fight?
Dana better have somebody look into this one because the UFC has lost a ton of respect in the MMA community over this. Hopefully the sport doesn’t go the way of boxing.
The only thing I can guess is that Dana wants Bisping to really promote the spread of MMA through england and the rest of Europe.

Crocop deserved the loss based on Pride rules, where the whole fight is judged, but under UFC rules, the round system should have given Crocop a draw. He won the first round, lost the second one, and Kongo should have lost a point on the groin smashing in the third round. Neither fighter was impressive.
Hammill was robbed, period. He lost to the hometown boy. I hope they feed Bisping to Shogun after he finishes with Griffin. That Brit needs a good beating.
Corruption is a huge part of boxing’s decline, and the Bisping fight is even more disgusting than when Guida was robbed. The athletic commissions need to crack down on stupid/bribed judges.
I was disgusted with so many of those Brits cheered for Bisping after the fight, but it was nice to hear a few boos coming from that crowd. There weren’t enough, though. When Guida lost against Griffin, the crowd was simply loaded with boos, going by memory. It makes me question the integrity of the UK fanbase.

Was he warned after the earlier shot to the nuts? How exactly is the decision made to take a point away?
Kongo was given a warning and Crocop was given 5 minutes to recover. However, HE DID NOT TAKE THE FULL 5 MINUTES. I think Crocop is spiritually broken; he wasn’t even trying at that point. He just wanted to get it over with. In the end, just before they raised Kongo’s hand, Crocop was about to cry. Unlike women, male eyes tend to just get moist first instead of going straight to tears, and Mirko wasn’t even trying to hide it, not even wiping his eyes. He’s simply crushed.
Most fighters get a warning first. Tito grabbed the fence probably 3 times before he lost a point in his fight with Evans. Still, a 9-9 round is better than a 10-9 round, and that fight was a draw and a textbook example of how cheating can change the result of the fight.
Without the fence grabbing, Tito would have lost that fight. If Kongo lost a point for the groin smashing, it would have been a draw, just like the Ortiz/Evans fight. Given Crocop’s stature and legacy, I’m honestly surprised Kongo didn’t lose that point…
I thought it was a pretty entertaining show. The lightweight fight was great. Cro cop didn’t look that good and Congo was focused, I kept waiting for Cro Cop to turn it on but he never really did.
The Bisping Hammill fight was a good fight but terrible judging. Bisping looked off to me for the first two rounds, he looked different than he has in his previous fights. I may be completely off base but it almost looked like he was on something and finally calmed down in the third round. To me he clearly lost the first 2 rounds and then won the third one. I can’t believe they gave Bisping the victory, I wish Joe had asked Bisping about it more, given one judge had the fight 30-27 for Matt. I thought Hammill was very gracious in his defeat. I wanted Bisping to win as I really liked him from the show and his previous fights but I still feel confident he lost.
The main event was good, both clearly had finishing power at any moment. I was impressed with Rampage and it looked like Dan got hurt and tired pretty early and could never come back from that. It seemed like Dan thought he won the fight from his reaction but they didn’t interview him.
IMO, it was generally good fights and even better that it was free.
I agree 100 percent Bisping winning was BS… that was the only disappointing fight… I loved Rampage and Henderson… kept me on the edge of my feet the whole time … all in all a great UFC on Spike… as good as any PPV…
I would like to see some Pr1de fights on television with their rules… if Pride is still happening in Tokyo or if Dana has replace the ring with a cage
Hamil was ROBED! The judges can see about as well as Hamil can hear. That was just plain fucked.
Someone buy CroCop a self-help book. Goddamnit. Knowing what he is/was capable of, that fight made me want to cry. From the moment the bell rang he just looked off. His feet seemed to by glued tot he floor. There was no reason he should have lost that fight, cause Kango was NOT impressive at all. For that match being billed as two worldclass strikers, it sure left a lot to be desired.
The main was ok I guess. Dan seemed to gas after round two which was very surprising. He defiantly didn’t look on top of his game.
Rampage I think looked better than I have ever seen him, definitely when it comes to cardio. He was able to control most of the ground game and had the better stand-up of the two. And I couldn’t help but laugh my ass off at his post-fight interview. “I got Ju-Jit-Su!”
I was hoping to see a glimpse of Fedor as the rumors were flying he would be sitting next to Randy, but no luck.
On a side note, I wonder how happy Joe Rogan was about having to pimp Dane Crook’s movie? Another guy he really doesn’t like.
Crocop has a single fight left. I think this is going to be it. Crocop vs Brad Imes! I know it’s terrible, even by Sherdog standards, but I did get a good laugh out of it. Lemons out of lemonade, I guess.
…CroCop…sigh…even with all the damn illegal knees to the groin,he was still dominated…I guess he worked on all the ground stuff and forgot what the clinch was. Maybe the groin shots affected him that much,or maybe he should of taken Kongo down more because he still has no ground game. Who knows, but he was dominated.
I guess the judges saw something I didn’t in Jackson/Henderson. I think Henderson should of won the decision, but thats just what I think. Henderson will be hell if(when) he drops to 185.

I agree. The nut smashing should have lost a point. That was a hard impact. Crocop does NOT look like the Crocop I’ve grown to know and love over the years. I wonder what gives. To me, at least, he looked timid again. At the very beginning I thought “well, here’s the old mirko attitude coming back” but then a few moments later I realized he doidn’t look too much different. Sad. I do hope he regains his form–I miss it. I did have it much more even than others coming in, as Kongo’s striking is (I felt) pretty close to Mirko’s, if not quite to par.

Absolutely disgusting. There is no other word for it. I feel bad for the kid, even though his game is not very good. His slow straight punches were connecting the whole fight, and Bisping didn’t do anything the whole fight. Hamill scored all the takedowns as well. Disgusting!
As for Jackson/Henderson, I think Henderson takes the first round, and maybe the first two, but the last 3 rounds were all Rampage, as was the fight as a whole. Overall, it’s good that Rampage won for 3 reasons.
#1- It’s good to have a familiar, stable champion; Liddell’s reign contributed a lot to the UFC’s popularity.
#2- Henderson will almost certainly drop down to middleweight, the weakest UFC division, and really strengthen it. I’d love to see him face Anderson Silva.
#3- Henderson can always use his smaller size as an excuse, so he doesn’t lose too much face. Rampage would be in trouble if he lost to Henderson, especially after a big win over Liddell.
I usually cheer for the smaller guy, and I really like Henderson, but for the sport as a whole, it’s good that Rampage won the fight.
I thought it was a really good card other than Hamill getting ROBBED! Home field advantage clearly swung this decision, the two judges should be investigated… Seriously.
Hamill was much improved in the fight and seemed to be trying to make a point with his stand up, he seemed to not commit to the take downs which I think he should have started doing mid way through the 2nd round…
I guess I’m one of the few that don’t think that Hamill won.
I gave Hamill the first and Bisbing the third. I thought the second was a coin toss. I’m nor sure how a judge gave Hamill the third, he really did nothing.
