OMFG who’s gonna watch this? THIS event, I havent watched the last few UFC’s…only the main fights n such. but DAMN UFC 67 has got me sold. I’m so excited to see Mirko and Rampae in there.
I’ve met Rampage before and talked to him for an hour, this was when I was a year younger but yeah it was awesome. Anyways Anderson Silva is awesome too. Anyways I can’t even type bout it cause im so excited and can’t wait for it. WOOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW. Anyone else have thoughts on it?
LOL, agreed. Fuck, Crocop may be able to run the card in 10 minutes. Gunna be SO dangerous in UFC.
Anderson Silva? Same thing. The Ultimate Fighter has produced some good talent, but not to the degree the guy is going to come out and beat a guy from Pride.
It is such a good time to be an MMA fan right now, so much shit is happening. This card should prove whether or not the UFC will turn into Pride fighters’ new playground. I might actually buy this one.
The funny thing is with the addition of GSP the card would have only been 11 minutes. This card should say UFC vs Pride because that’s kinda what it’s like.
Cheers Donut, that gif proves what I already thought. I will never get sick of seeing Cro-Cop’s left high kick. The angle of his foot at the top looks inhuman.
As far as Rampage goes, I’m getting pretty psyched for his inevitable match against Liddell. There sure was some ‘chemistry’ going on, in that respect, at UFC 66.
This card shaped up better than originally expected. It does suck that GSP is out, but otherwise it is fairly solid from top to bottom. Not so much the match ups, but adding Rampage and CroCop to the mix should make for an entertaining card.
I did not realize that Ryoto was fighting Sam Hoger…I’m going to laugh when the Alaskan Assassin submits his ass, him handing him his first loss.
I wonder how good Rampage is going to look in this fight, for all the hype he has been getting he better perform. He did well against Lindland (in a fight I felt he should have lost the decision) but that was against a middleweight fighting up…his previous efforts in Pride were somewhat disappointing at times.
Wow. Spend several weeks competing for a title shot in a reality show specifically for fighters trying to make it back into the UFC and then . . . you don’t make weight.

He isn’t going to make it past the first round anyway.
If he loses he won’t be in the UFC anymore. Dana doesn’t like these kind of shenanigans. Mirko looked good in the weigh in videos, 223 lbs and lean as hell as usual. Rampage looked to be in the best shape of his career. Should be a good night of fights.

Joe Riggs is still around after missing weight versus Matt Hughes at UFC 56.
Lutter has a TUF winners contract – 3 years and 9 fights. I don’t think Dana even has the option of cutting him until after the first year is over.
Lutter also got a big Xyience endorsement deal for winning TUF. The UFC’s biggest sponsor will be none too pleased if Dana cuts one of their pitchmen after only fight.
Travis might get stuck in undercard hell, but he’s not going anywhere anytime soon.
My opinion is that MMA is the best sport in the history of the world. Needless to say I love it and follow it and have since the UFC started in 1993. Then the supreme MMA event Pride FC came into existence in 1997. That’s when my loyalty to UFC started to sway. The UFC is getting weaker and Pride is geeting stronger.
I’m talking about the event itself and the fighters. I know its a generalization when talking about individuals and were they come from but for the most part Pride ranks suprmeme. The UFC is STINGY with there FIGHT CARDS! Bummer! 2 good fights and the rest, Who are these guys?
I like Crocop and Rampage two of my favorites but come on feeding them bullshit fights for there “debut” Please! Let’s not support the UFC in becoming what boxing is now. Put your glasses on, UFC 67 is a weak card.

If this were 2005, I would absolutely agree with you. However, anyone that claims the UFC is ‘getting weaker’ after their stellar 2006 is a blind Pride nuthugger. Pride still has the deeper roster IMO, but the UFC defintely closed the gap in 2006 and their ridiculous PPV revenue stream will allow them to continue to make progress in 2007.

Yet I am sure you had no problem at all with the matchmaking for ‘The Real Deal’.
I have no problem with an organization giving guys a few ‘warm-up’ fights to introduce them to the fans. Pride did that with the ‘Real Deal’ card, and the UFC is doing the same thing with this event.
