Yeah, I was shocked to hear Dana refer to Fedor by name. I hope they can bring him in. Heck, I’d even go for a 1-fight deal where they can only come to terms with him for a fight against Randy.
Dana “Fucking” White is a jackass, does anyone remember the interview from less than a year ago when that donkey was saying he’d never seen FEdor and all the best HWs were in the UFC? At this point they basically had Tim Sylvia and Arlovski going round and round for the belt.
I think Rampage will win, just because his striking is straight forward and his defense(standup) was tight in his last fight while Henderson can get a bit wild with his punching. Especially giving Henderson’s penchant for standing lately, I think Rampage’s style is perfectly fight to give Hendo his first knockout loss.
Of course this one is pretty even though because Hendo could land that bomb or show up with a gameplan to take Jackson down for some GNP.
I’m going to pick Kongo to upset Crocop. This probably won’t happen, but I don’t think its out of the realm of possibility
Bisping over Hammil
Alexander over sakara…sakara needs to take care of those bitchtits, I hope he had surgery since the last time I saw him in the ring, and I think Alexander will pound him out with some dirty boxing.
I’m probably wrong on all of these and I won’t be placing any bets because I won’t be able to watch it live…if I bet I’m guarunteed to be on the internet looking at the results before I watch the show.

Nope.
I remember him saying that none of the UFC’s new fans have any idea who Fedor or Shogun are, and that they would have to be built up before the TUF fans recognize their greatness.
IMO, he was right. The vast majority of the people who hopped on the MMA bandwagon post-2005 have no fucking clue who the great Pride fighters are. Heck, most of 'em have no idea who the pre-2005 UFC champions are. Yet they all know who Forrest Griffin , Stephan Bonnar, Diego Sanchez, Josh Koscheck, & Chris Leben etc. are.
It sucks, but that’s the knowledge base of the average American MMA fan.

Another thing that kind of surprised me in the countdown was that CroCop didn’t train with elbows or a cage. He went through two fights spanning months apart without ever training in a cage or with elbows? That seems pretty silly to me, and it really hurt him in the long run (no pun intended).

It is odd that he didn’t train in a cage, or with elbows - but it was neither that did him in against Gonzaga.
Had CroCop not wrongly anticipated a body kick - Gonzaga would have had a set of broken ribs. But that is neither here nor there.
The fact is CroCp was KTFO standing in the middle of the cage.

IIRC, CroCop wasn’t able to see the kick coming due to the barrage of elbows he had eaten immediately before. It is very well possible that Napao did the decisive damage before Dean stood them up.

Yes that’s what Cro Cop said anyway. He’s said a number of times that he was dizzy from the elbows, and because he didn’t train them, he didn’t know how to defend them. He said he didn’t see the kick coming but who knows.

True, Jackson did have confidence going into the Liddell fight since he won the first encounter, but, he also was in a bit of slump career-wise leading up to that fight. I think winning the title boosted him and he realized he still had what it took to hang with the top guys.
uh… Rampage looked like he was going to shit himself going into the Liddell fight, watch it again. Not taking anything away from Rampage - he is a great fighter, just pointing out the visible fear he had at the beginning of the fight. He definitely looked confident after though, LOL.

Are you sure you aren’t getting you fighters confused? Chuck look plain ass scared during the whole fight. The only time I’ve seen Rampage look scared is after Shogun broke most of his ribs.
I expect Rampage to be in classic comedic form tonight. Will he hand Dan a message from his mom telling him to to punch him in the face?

This is funny because a lot of people said Rampage looked really focused but i remember thinking he looked shit scared right up until the staredown.
Only 15 minutes until the show starts and Cobra beer! woo woo!

No, watch the intro again. I wasn’t saying he looked scared during the fight, but before the fight he looked terrified, I can’t imagine anyone not seeing that if watched objectively.
