got a bit bored tonight doing rep work, so we decided to see how many reps we could do without taking a breath. i got through 8 reps with my first set of 385, then 10 with my second and 12 with my third.

you definitely stay much tighter holding your breath throughout the set… if you can keep from passing out.

here’s the vid of my last set with 385. i think this was the first time i hit two PR’s in one set:)

800 lb tire flip: 3 flips in 41 seconds PR + 2 flips

Last time I used this tire I only flipped it once in about 20 seconds. Pretty pumped about this.

Really brutal tire. It tore up my shoulders and forearms pretty badly.

Bench 245x1 (+10)
Conventional Dead from a deficit - 315x1 (NEW LIFT)

Just started westside about 4-6 weeks ago, and have already raised my bench +20 and it seems to be getting better as I learn which lifts are helping me the most. Right now, floor press and board press are my bread and butter.

I normally pull sumo and haven’t maxed since I started but in the past 6mos. did 405x1. But conventional from a deficit is just plain brutal, so i’ll be working these for speed, reps, and singles. The goal is to get my deficit deadlift to 405x1 and then i’ll retest my sumo deadlift.

old pr: never been able to do more than one rep with 265

this is prep for my competeting on the 29th aka next weekened, looking to get 270-280 on a full weeks rest

35 reps squat @ 225. Could probably have gotten at least 40, but I got thirsty. Takes a while to get this many reps. Will go for 50 next time.

Totalled: 200 PR:+10kg

Snatch: 90kg (Competition PR)

Clean and Jerk: 110kg (Competition PR)

Cleaned 115kg, but missed the Jerk. I’ll definitely get it next time though.

yesterday: Bench 220x10 PR -5 pounds, plus 1 rep.

Today I worked up to a max triple and hit 220x3, its only a 5 lbs PR, but it still felt great

Benched 225x6 hoping 2 bring my max to 300 soon. I made a $60 bet with my brother that i could bench 300 in a years time. I wanna hit that sooner though.

Squat 330x2 on Sunday.

By no means even a good squat, but it is the heaviest weight I have had on my back by 20 pounds and I hit it for a nice and clean double, thanks Jim.

Yo nice work i hit that same weight using 25lb plates 2 summers ago at the 193 lbs, then i slipped 2 discs in my back. Your post has helped inspired me 2 get my deadlift back. btw nich PJ what do you C&J?

Since you’re a brit, where did you get them nike romaleos from? I thought they weren’t available in europe?
