Nice work Meat! How much do you feel these carry over your bench?

thanks!!! quit a bit. in the past i did shoulder work more like an ME day. i would go really heavy for low reps. all that did was make it hard to recover when bench day came. now, i rotate each week between upper back and shoulder purely as an assistance movement. i don’t really care about the weight. i just wanna get the reps in and hopefully build some muscle.

Damn that is impressive! Nice work.

Here is a huge pr from today.

Deadlifts with double bodyweight for max reps. I weigh 175 so I did 350x16. Very happy with this.

(Yes, those are two 15 lbs. DBs duct-taped to a 130 lbs. DB that already has 25 lbs. of plates duct-taped to it - Sanford and Son Gym, yessirree)
Now we know your last name, Mr. Pushharder Giterdun.

Yesterday, Bench 245x4. Wanted 5 and almost got it, but came failed about 3/4 of the way up.

Funny thing happened. On the first rep of each set for a fraction of a second I would lose my vision as I pulled it up off the floor. It was weird.
I get that on my overhead presses just before lockout. It’s a race between lockout and passout.

Today I did

Squat: 325x5- This might be a 3 rep PR, not sure.

and

Power clean: 225x1- 40 lb. PR

Hitting lots of pr’s lately, love workout fuel…

Video: Power clean 225lbs

Most recent other prs:

Chin up: BW (201 at the time) + 115lbs

Standing Military Press: 140lbs

Pretty pumped as I had surgery for a torn labrum on 2/19

Just as a technical note, that is a full clean, not a power clean.

Word.

REP PR +10 lb shoeless wide stance breathing squats 295 x 10…every squat workout to date has been a PR though, I started squating again for the first time in May (since 2002 when I fractured my L4 and L5). It’s amazing how much a limiting factor the back is (ala Mike Boyle’s recent aguement for split squats in athletic training programs).

I’m not sure how much higher in weight I’ll be moving up. As long as I can maintain good form and a neutral spine.

p.s. I’m not used to all this bold stuff so bear with me
