SSB Squats- 600x1… 90lb pr

haven’t post in here in awhile but tonight i hit the most solid 670 squat that i’ve ever hit. form stayed tight througout.

my crew just found an underground gym in our area and it’s fucking awesome. has everything we need.

205x1 bench easy, and 190x5 the following week. Previous PRs were 200x2 and 185x5 the week before that.

Is high bar with the narrowish stance what you’re stronger with or was it for variation? I’m always interested in how strong people do their raw squats.

192.5kg *1 Deadlift

Felt awesome locking it out :stuck_out_tongue:

Do you have any idea how goddamn much stronger you are going to be now that you lift in an enviroment like that? That is awesome.

we’ve actually only run into two other guys the entire time we’ve been there…which is a good thing.

it’s so nice to actually have powerlifting equipment to use instead of improvizing with fitness crap.

i should get stronger just by not having all the fitness douches around me all the time with their weight lifting gloves and super tight shhhhmedium underarmour shirts.

i’ve tried many different ways to squat but now i squat high bar with a shoulder width stance. I squat straight down and up and i’m much more comfortable and stronger doing it this way. i think a lot of raw lifters try to squat like geared lifters by going low bar and sitting back. unfortunately they don’t realize that they don’t have all that gear to keep them in that position. plus i find that the narrow(er) stance allows me to use more quads to get out of the hole.

it’s taken me awhile but i feel like my form is spot on now on these.

you mean they didnt give you good lifting advice? from the looks of those videos, those guys are so swole, I think they were wearing extra-medium under armor shirts.

First time going heavy in 2 weeks due to back pain; Deadlifted 495 for 3

295 Floor Press w/ a pause +10lb PR

Couldn’t fully tell but it looks like you had another 10lbs in you. Good lift man.

Best I’ve done since I f’ed up my back- 700lb box squat:

Finally decided to Pull 495(30lbs PR)

Giant Cambered Bar Box Squat 365

first time doing this, technically the most I’ve ever squatted raw without bands if you count the actual bar weight and massive clamps it comes out to 395.
