Box Squats- 350lbs for 25 sets of 2. Finished in exactly 23 minutes.
Can I ask why?
haha. the real answer is it was lactate tolerance training. rest periods were hardly ever more than 30 seconds so by the 10th set, this hurts like shit. i was training myself to not give a shit.
also, I switched from high to lowbar squatting. so, the more reps I can get with the new bar position the better. I read once it takes 10,000 hours to actually develop consistant muscle memory… 23 minutes down, 9,999 hours and 37 minutes to go.

Can you explain the difference between High and Low Bar.
Way i have it it’s on top of my eh kind of existent traps how far lower do you go ? Any videos or advice how to go lower ( IS it better lower ?) would be appreciated.
Doing that crazy Smolov Program for the next while starting today so any tips on squatting helpfull
And to keep with the thread.
Current PRs
Deadlift - 180kg - I attempted to get 185kg to get the 400lb marker but failed terribly - tonight i aim to rectify it !

High for me (how I’ve been squatting for the past 10 years or so) is on top of my traps/base of my neck. Low for me is under my upper trap and right on top of my posterior delts. If yout using your traps as a map, the bar is probably across my mid traps when I do low bar. You’re definitely over thinking this. It’s a low bar squat when you set the bar lower on your back. Its a high bar when you set it up higher. It’s all personal preference. I am 6’2’’ so I now feel low bar squatting is for me and have no idea why it took me so long to try it.

I wouldn’t say I was overthinking it considering today was the 1st time i heard of low bar squatting
I may try it on my warmup sets tonight see how they go.

Dude you SMOKED that first one. You lost your momentum screwing around with your straps. If you bring your grip up you could have easily gotten a few more.

Right on man. You’re a beast so something’s working.
Got 380x5 on 15" box squats today, which is a 5lb pr. Definitely had more in me. In hindsight should’ve gone for 405x3 or something to get it in before the new year, but 'tis what it is. Will get it by February.
I’ll see if this video I took from the iPhone yesterday worked 405 squat. Recent PR done I efs heavy sleeves and a belt. Please critique form, if this is the place for it
