squat

345 x 2 . thats a double at 96% of current 1RM .

( last week hit 335 x 3 )

Haven’t been on here in a while. Football and wrestling camp do that.

Yesterday, got a 375 x 5 for squats. Still haven’t gotten too far on my clean and still am stuck around 275 for 3 reps.

Did my first meet last week pulled 480(40lb PR) 2 whites and a red would of like to know where the red came from. Would of hit a PR on my squat but started to fall back 3/4 of the way through…mother f**ker…

Have another meet next weekend going to go for 500…cant wait

Yeah, that’s what everybody says. I maxed out 7 days before my last meet, but didn’t have any problems. Maybe I should move it to 14 days out next time? What would be the advantage of maxing so far out?

Yeah, that’s what everybody says. I maxed out 7 days before my last meet, but didn’t have any problems. Maybe I should move it to 14 days out next time? What would be the advantage of maxing so far out?[/quote]

Every one is different but you want to give your CNS time to recover

Kinda depend on the lift and lifter. For me it was always no deads for 2 weeks before and last squat at least 8 days out. I could bench heavy even within 6 days

Complete beginner to barbell lifting, started with 5/3/1 end of July 2009. Have not recently retested maxes; few/several(?) months ago I got a 140 kg DL and 60 kg MP. Other than a wrist injury (bar slipped during MP and I actually decided to fucking catch it) that threw back training for about 2 months, progress could not have come any faster. I have done 4/week, 3/week, and 2/week sessions depending on available time.

Deadlift - 135 kg x 8 (5/3/1 week), started with 85% of 108 kg. Training Log (July 13 2010).m4v - YouTube

I’m going to start working as a doc soon, in a country where every other day on-calls are common for the junior doctor. Who the hell knows if I’ll be able to lift within the next 2 years.

Two weeks ago I did 375 against doubled minis. This was after a close miss at 585 in the deadlift. BW 200 lbs.

230kg squat (508lbs) + 22lbs

I got 275 for three reps on Front squat ass to calves.
