New PR for weight. Today’s improvements:

365 x 6 (Up from 355 x 3 weeks ago, and 335 x 10 more recently)
405 x 1 (Up from 385 x 1 last week)

Now I going to say “fuck it” and go shoot for 405 x 2…[/quote]

Since you didn’t name what exercise, I’m going to assume it is 1 arm bicep curls…nice work!

You have E.S.P. man… Exactly right. (D’oh! was deadlift.)

190kg x 5 back squat (+2 rep PB)

Deadlift 280x11 on “3” day of 5/3/1
Nothing like underestimating your maxes AND improving (last week I got 270x10 on “5” day).

This is actually the end of 5/3/1 for me… for now. Monday I start training at IFAST under Bill Hartman/Mike Robertson. Excited to see whats in store for me.

Man, that was good form and deep. Congrats.

Yesterday I did a PR 6 minute (+1 min) plank hover. In another thread people hinted at “video or it never happened” over my 5 minute plank last week. Thus was born the most boring video ever. Lol.

The only bummer is that the resolution isn’t high enough to see how much I was shaking for the last 2 minutes.

Cheers big man, squats always been my weak link so I’m trying to make it one of my strong points still a fair bit to go.

Is that a power rack in your living room? If so, awesome!

P.S. I call BS your shorts were hanging down to cover up the platform you had your knees resting on, it wasn’t that hard. Either that or you just looped the same 10 seconds of you doing a plank and then you edited the TV in the background to play something straight through.

I like how you have a rack in your front room nice.

hit a meet PR of sorts today.

Me, my guys and VTballa34 from this site did a bench meet today. This was the first time that i met him and he’s a cool guy with a lot of potential. He’s also a fucking house. the dude is 6’5" and 280. with a little work the dude is going to be a beast.

anyway… this is what i did.

opened with 500lbs. felt light but the pad on the bench was a little loose and as i drove off my chest i tilted to the side a bit but still locked it out strong- good lift. that got my mind going so i went a little conservative on my second. i had planned to go to 520 but i opted to go for 510.

second attempt at 510 flew up faster than the first- good lift
third attempt went to 520-left arm locked out but couldn’t quit lockout the right. i would have had it as a second attempt. oh well… still very happy.

my training partner Dave, who just turned 50 hit 420 on his second attempt and just missed 435 on his third… very awesome

VTBalla34 hit a very respectible 350 on his third. I told him that if i worked with him on form, i’d have him benching 400 in his first session. He’s got a ton of raw strength. he just need to work on making it a whole body lift.

side note, Bill Gillespie competed in the meet. the dude is in his 50’s and he hit an 800lb equipped bench. He’s a very personable guy and very gracious.

time to get back to the gym.

You busted me. Actually I just propped myself up with a hard-on. That little device that looks like a stop watch is actually a miniature porn player.

post BOF training. started new bench cycle. this cycle will be done completely raw… no belt, elbow sleeves or wrist wraps.

Foam Bench Press- (full Foam) 545x1- this is a good starting point. hoping to finish close to 600 at the end of the cycle

That sounds like a great exercise to help with squat stability. Strong cock=strong squat.

zercher squats-long pause at bottom

385x2 +20lb PR

Never posted here before but I hit a fun PR today, I’d like to have a go at 555 straight weight next week

reverse band pull 585

Nice. That looks like it would kill my arms. Would be much harder to hold than to lift. I gotta try that.

3 inch deficit deadlift: 605 which is a 20 lb PR. The PR was from May right before I hit 710 at the meet.

Squat - 400lbs x 20
