Good shit big man, looking good in the lycra :\

Have been lurking around the forum for awhile. First time poster. My lift PBs:

  1. Bench Press - 265 lb - September 09
  2. Power Clean (high-ish catch) - 265 - September 09
  3. Front Squat - A2G - 255 - November 09
  4. Dead lift - no max - as I just started doing these instead of Back Squats due to knee pain on back squat - 345x4 - November 09
  5. Snatch - 185 - November 09
  6. Push Jerk - 225 - November 09

All at 6’2" - 195-198. BF still a little high.

I’m a former Track and Field (Decathlete) getting back in shape - starting training seriously again 18 months ago, and have lost 25lb and gained some strength. Like this site, as there are a lot of very serious members and a lot of scientific thinking to what you are all doing. Keep it up.

I’m not training to get big necessarily, but to get as strong and fast as possible. But - "If it looks good, it usually flies pretty well " . Trying to get PL #s up over 1100 with FS instead of BS. I’ll be looking for some inputs on some of my training as I enter a new MesoCycle.

A few other training PB’s:

  1. Standing LJ - 3.07m - about 10’
  2. 30m - Self timed from first foot strike(so time is about 0.5s faster than if I had timing gates) - 3.78 - November 09
  3. OHB (Throwing 16# shot as far over the head backward as possible) - 16.20m - about 53’

Reverse Band Squat (avg bands)
510x1 (+20 lbs)

nice! love the jeans

And house slippers to complete the ensemble…

More PR’s today…

115kg x2 power clean (tried this 3x in the past 10 days and finally got it) Power Clean - 115kg x2 - YouTube

Box Squat w/ 150kg + green band (no belt) - Box Squat - 150kg w/ green band` - YouTube

And I hit a 2.5kg close grip bench PR - a shockingly poor 142.5kg.

Got a 385 bench last night while testing my max which I hadn’t done in a long time. 405 soon I hope with some adaptation to working with heavy weights and improving technique.

For some reason got the bright idea to try 20 rep squats for the first time. Got 315x20.

That may be both the first and last time I do those.

Damn way to go. Not only did you do my max, but you did it 19 more times…

This morning pulled 500lbs with sumo stance. My conventional has always been better, so this was a big deal to be able get sumo up to speed.

My first 300 bench was as a senior in high school in 1999. The illustrious 315 always within striking distance but just short.

Being in and out of the gym through college with max BP of 275-300.

FINALLY tonight.
315 is mine.

Whats next?

2009-12-7
Zercher lift from pins
445x1 (+5 lbs)

1 arm BB press
92.5 (+2.5 lbs)

Fuck yeah. Congrats.

585 sumo dead belt only. I think it’s a 60lb pr.

started a new bench cycle. plan to add 10lbs to it each week. I ended up starting this first week with my all time best paused, legs straight floor press. that’s a good sign that my bench is move’n.

floor press- long pause, legs straight -495x1

2009-12-9
Anderson Squat
375x1 (+10lbs)

330x5 (+5lbs)

Bench 385

I’ve gotten 385 before but I got a good pause on this one.

Please excuse my gratuitous exposure of man stomach.
