another awesome night. lower back is feel’n great. hit up the reverse band squats. my plan was to work up to 715 for two sets of two. hit the first set and then decided to go for a heavy single. moved up to 745. this is the most weight i’ve ever had on my shoulders. i felt every pound. the way we set these up the bands don’t take off anything substantial at the top and about 100 at depth.

here’s my 715x2 + 20lb PR
Staley Training Systems - Reverse band squats 715x2 - YouTube

and… 745x1 + 50lb PR

That’s alot of weight. You’re strong as all hell man.

thanks hoss!!!

hit a PR on front squats against bands. all the front squats and zerchers i’m doing is paying off. all of these reps felt very solid. i definitely have a lot more in the tank on these.

front squats against bands- paused at bottom 365x3 - the bands add somewhere between 1lb and 200lbs at the top.

got a 500 lbs squat yesterday in a belt and inzer knee sleeves. First time over 455 without wrapping my knees and it felt light.

another whorish bench night. as many of us know, you have to ride the PR train until it unevitably stops.

reverse band bench -705x1

i’ve taken my grip in considerably to protect a tender shoulder. as a result, my lockout power has greatly improved. i was a bit concerned that the more narrow grip would negatively affect my power off the chest after the pause. i’ve decided to include some fat back, feet up, paused bench at the end of my ME work. i really didn’t know what to expect but it’s looking good. i had pinkies on the rings for all paused sets. before the shoulder tweak it was always index finger. worked up to 465 for an easy one after some tough reverse band work. i’m hope’n to get this up to the 500’s within the next few weeks.

flat back, feet up, paused bench- 465x1

Wow nice job on all your PR’s Meat, keep em comin!

As for me:

315x10 box squat, pretty big PR. Last time I did this I got like 285 for 5 reps. I think that was around april.

Damn man, i want to come train with you.

Awesome strength hoss. Glad your back is feeling better.
For the rest of you guys keep it up, the heavier y’all go, the more motivation i have to push my limits.
As for me, i finally got over 500 for conventional deadlift.
Also did Rack pull with straps at top of knees 725 last week at the end of shrugs for a static hold, As Ronnie would say in his southern drall: “Whooooo that was heeeavy.”.

Finally hit 4 Plates!

Was on my max week for 5/3/1 with 365X1+ being my last set. I have been pretty confident I could hit 405 for some time, but I waited until I was sure of the time. Went in trying to stick to the plan, but converse my energy. Just did 365 for a single and threw on 4 plates after that. Started to pace back and forth and threw on my best jam, walked up and hit it without hesitation. Little slow off the floor until about shin height, then smooth from there. Fucking hell yes! Onto 495! Weighing in around ~180 right now.

Standing Overhead Lockouts (3" above head)
260x1 (+5 lbs and down 1 inch))

good squat night. hit a 20lb PR on reverse band squats. i’m going to up these to 800 for the last session in this cycle in two weeks. the bands don’t take any weight off the top. i tell myself if i can walk it out, i have the set. walking out 800 should be really fun.

finally got Dave, one of my training partners, to put something behind his slaps. They are very “motivational”

reverse band squat- 765x1

time to eat some turkey. i’m down to 258 now.

Just cut to 235 last month at 6,1
hit 335 close grip (10lb pr)
and a 300 incline (15lb pr)

and a 750 rack pull from the knee, (no straps and one slow as tits lock out)
Hoping for a 635 Deadlift at the end of this Coan cycle as well, wish me luck
Feel damn good about all of it

Just pulled 180kg for the first time! Hideously ugly and completely unpassable in a meet but I damn did it. On to 200 now.
