I’m curious what you all bring to train, I’ve assembled my set of accessories over the last several years but found i am very frequently using mouthguard now, I’ve always been a strap user on pull exercises, my grip strength lags and I don’t have patience / desire to fix it, so I guess straps are #2 most frequently used item outside of headphones and water bottle/towel
Water bottle (I have my own with my business branded on them so I use those, prefilled with my intraworkout mix)
Towel to wipe down equipment, etc
Neither of the gyms I workout at allow chalk so I don’t carry any. The items above, although functional, are somewhat crutches for me when it comes to heavy lifts… even the towel, which I will routinely wipe the handles clean on any dumbbell over 100lb before lifting as a habit/part of my routine. there is a psychological factor to gearing up before a heavy lift with straps etc that is probably as beneficial for me as the actual support that the item brings to my lift.
I’m curious what you all bring to the gym when you work out. For example, there is one girl at a gym I frequent that brings her own 6ft barbell bar in with her, which I think is insane, but each to their own I guess.
Does the gym allow liquid chalk? Some gyms seem to be “no chalk” but don’t mind the liquid stuff.
My gym bag is boring. Straps, wrist wraps, water bottle, random t-shirt I should have taken out months ago… and not even sure if I wore it or not. Sometimes a spare jumper depending on what the weathers doing. Usually a plastic water bottle hanging around I’ve been too lazy to throw out.
My gym bag (normally) isn’t too extravagant but my comp box (I have of these) is a bit ridiculous & has:
Rogue weight belt.
Some unbranded bench belt.
2 pairs of metal silver wrist wraps (which were knee wraps that I’ve just cut up & added Velcro to).
Pair of Inzer Iron Z wrist wraps for squats if my wrist(s) are playing up.
2 pairs of Inzer gripper knee wraps.
Pair of Puma hi tops for squats/deads.
Pair of water shoes (basically deadlift slippers) for bench.
Soft suit.
A size 48 & size 50 Inzer SDP (or now my Forell F8 depending on what comp I’m doing).
Inzer predator briefs.
Inzer leviathan ultra pro (for squats).
OG Inzer leviathan (for deads).
Extra socks for deads.
Then a container filled with ammonia caps.
Lots of snacks.
Talc.
