Torn Neck Muscles

So this morning I was just waking up and had my normal ‘yawn and stretch’

Yaknow how it goes…where you just stretch out everything attached to your skeletal system.

'Cept this time I tore muscles in my neck.

wtf right?

So I’m sitting here in a shitload of pain and the only thing I can think of is my next push/pull meet at the end of this upcoming march.

Can ya’ll gimmie some insight to this type of injury if you have either
a.) had this happen to you
or
b.) have some medical intellegence

Do you know for a FACT that you tore your neck muscles, or are you just assuming?

Same question I was going to ask! Generally, a muscle tear is pretty tough injury to get over. If it is indeed a muscle tear, you will have some pretty significant bruising. A pull/strain may hurt like hell, but wont bruise and you’ll recover much faster. Either way, ice 20 minutes on half hour off and Motrin to help ease the pain of inflamation.

A strain is a torn muscle, a sprain a torn ligament.

ok, well i feel pretty good in comparison to earlier

no bruising

and my range of motion is improving…but when the pain sets in; its just as bad as this AM

but i keep heating and workingon my ROM

hope its better and im not out of the gym for too long

still can’t put my ear on my shoulder on the bad side…but its a massive improvment
