Hey everyone, in your opinions, what are the most impressive feats of strength in recent history? I’ll start…Andy Bolton’s 1000+ pound deadlift.
Yeah, Bolton is a beast!
How about John Brookfield and a partner pulling a semi truck up hill for a mile! Talking about strength endurance.
My number one.

Taranenko beat him

True enough, but Taranenko didnt so much beat him, as set the record then get hosed out of it with the weight class restructuring.
The bar is bending like its made of jelly

Well technically it was a better a clean and jerk so you win in the regards that it was a better feat of strength.
I can’t wait for the first 600 lb clean and jerk.
Anyway, I think Zydrunas Savickas holds a few records of his own. I find his 1016 lb tire deadlift pretty amazing.

If 20 years is recent enough, I’d rank this one ahead of Reza’s Leonid Taranenko 265.5 WR Clean & Jerk - YouTube

I have to say Belyaev’s 400kg (880lb) squat at 90kg (198lb) at this years Russian IPF champs is one of the sickest things I’ve seen recently Belyaev Andrey squat 400kg, Cup of Titans 2007 - YouTube

First, hi to all, guys.
Well, I’d say that’s not bad either:

The most inspiring thing I have seen
Question! Has a bar ever snapped/broken on a very heavy lift before? Is it possible? Or least get extremely bent?
Wildauer Martin - DEADLIFT RAW 370kg @19y - YouTube Wildauer Martin-shane- from this site dl 814 RAW @ 19 years old.
Kirk Karwoski squatting at the AAU Nationals in Laughlin, Nevada, December/2004.
He weighed in THAT MORNING at 238 and lifted raw. Kirk squatted 749, 804, and 826, in track shorts, t-shirt, belt, and shoes. You knew something cool was going to happen when his last warmup was 688 paused with his ass firmly planted on his calves. I’m glad I stayed the extra day to see that.
If anyone has video of this, I’d like to see it again.
