No one said anything contrary to this^^ that’s called a strawman. If you take the same guy, same muscular size, and offer him to women at 10%bf and at 15%bf which will 99% of women chose?

It’s pretty obvious.

As for the rest of your post… Ill just stay away from that.
??? Dude, first, many women today would actually choose the 15% guy because they think the idea of a high maintenance guy to be a little “gay” or they don’t want someone who is way more body conscious than they are.

The average woman is NOT anywhere near “fitness model status”. Sorry to break that to you.
You’re just rambling and going off on a tangent again.

I said, offer them two of the exact same guys, side by side and see which they would choose based on their look. Which is more visually appealing.

10% is. It’s not even a debate no matter how much inside women’s info you have.
WTF. Unless you have a twin, quit playing what if’s. Women make decision based on way more factors than looks…and NO, most women today are NOT going to always go for the leanest guy. I just explained why. What women say and what they do are two different things.

lol.

Steely and then YOU were the first ones to talk about it and bring it up.
OK…so someone other than me brought it up, I responded and you have a problem with it why?

If it is on the table, it is open for discussion.

You also kept it going. Keep the thread on topic.
lol. I don’t care about discussing this topic, obviously, but it’s laughable that you would say its being discussed because “others keep bringing it up” when it was mentioned once by steely and then you were the one who kept it going. You don’t have to try to distance yourself from the topic because Lanky thinks its lame.

Stay on topic. You are just arguing for the sake of it now.

this is the best thread ever—lots of great info, (both inspirational and informative) and lots of professor x lolz

carry on!

HA! OK, I’ll own that. I was just responding to HT’s mention of looking good naked, which is an underlying and common theme in these forums. This is BB’ing Forum, but only a few compete. The rest seem to want to ‘look good naked’. Why? For chicks (or, dudes, NTTAWWT).

I won’t even attempt to jump into the discussion beyond that because fucked if I know what women want.

Your “debating” tactics are almost insufferable. Ok so what if’s are officially off limits to ever discuss.

I guess we can’t ever talk about upcoming BB Contests and who we think would win… Since that’s all based on what if’s lol

Come on.

The last line of your post is very true though. Women may say they love how you look now but their actual preference could be different. They may just not know it.

You know what? I bet your right. I’m sure if you stay with your current lady and diet down to 10% she would hate it and want to break up with you. Most women hate muscular guys with abs. They any a nice layer of fluff to cover them up or, at BEST, blur them.

lol

Thread was awesome…and then…

Haha nah man, it’s a valid topic. Not that guys are lifting weights to look good for girls (of course, although some are) but increased attention from women is just a pleasant byproduct of being big and muscular.

Honestly, what is wrong with you? Being lean is great. I would rather be WAY bigger and a little less lean than be you. It really comes down to just that. I know what impresses me. Looking like you do now does not because you lack enough size.

Why are you arguing with me about MY preferences and the preferences of the girl I am with?

So far, you jumped into this thread to question my waist size? really?

Let it go, dude. You aren’t debating anything. You are just fussing.

Once again, who gives a shit? Lifting for chicks is gay and it screams insecurity. I’m just as vain as the next guy but I lift because I know how I want to look, it has nothing to do with what girls think is attractive.
That is the point…we ALL are lifting because we like how we alone want to look…but I don’t hear you jumping in to complain when others constantly call people fat when they aren’t on this board.

There seems to be very selective bitching going on here.
WTF are you talking about? If someone thinks you’re fat, they think you’re fat, what do you want me to complain about? If a chick thinks I’m fat, a chick thinks I’m fat and I don’t care. I’m not claiming you should care what anyone else thinks so I have no idea what you’re even getting at.

I’m also not bitching about anything. I’m simply stating that lifting for chicks is gay and it screams insecurity.

If you really want me to start talking about your specific situation, I can. But so far nothing I’ve written applies to you at all. At all. At all.

I could care less what you like. Unlike you, I do not care what other people think of my physique. I lift for me.

I am not arguing about your personal preferences. Unless you were actually speaking for yourself when you were talking about what women prefer.

Well, first, I am leaner than I was in CO. That was 2 years ago. I made a lot of progress since then even with it taking me nearly a year to recover from that motorcycle accident.

While I will eventually work on getting even leaner than this, right now it doesn’t matter to me. The ONLY place people seem to have such a problem with how I look and not see the progress made is this site.

The girl I am with now likes me like this. The people I see daily give compliments.

Why change that to make people on the internet happy…even though all they seem to focus on is shit from two years ago and ignoring progress made?

That’s not telling you to fuck off…I just don’t understand the mentality.

I cold see if my waist was over 40" or something…but it isn’t.
Like I said, I don’t think you look ‘bad’. You’ll definitely turn heads in a room, and have a powerful look. No argument there. If I think the girl your with wouldn’t mind a bigger, OR a leaner you, ya know?

I personally don’t ‘care’ what anyone looks like. But this is a bodybuilding website. I send progress pics to my other lifting friends or on here, and they critique me. Ya know “adding mass to your delts, may need to hit the lats harder, etc”. Strong points, weak points. yada yada. I just think you’re strong point right now is size, and you’re ‘weak’ point (if you want to call it that) is leanness and showcasing that size.

I’m in no way saying you’re obese, or that you’ve done nothing but get fat. I just think at your level, getting pretty lean would be a solid indicator of progress for you, and it seriously wouldn’t be that difficult. Like in the next two months, don’t you think dropping some weight to get in the lower teens BF% would do a HELL of a lot more for your physique then adding, what, MAYBE a legit pound of LBM?

I mean you talk about kind of paying your dues, taking the time to yeah, not be the leanest but being a little softer as a ‘means to and end’… Like I feel you’ve put your time in. It’s like working your ass off at a job for years, and slowly moving up. After a few years, you’re pretty high on the food chain, idk, assistant manager or some shit. Got a good paycheck now, make more then most, got some bonuses… But dammit, don’t you want to just be running the place? Like, you’ve earned it, why not just fucking take it? You’ve cut before. You’re not retarded, you can obviously diet quick, effectively, and without losing probably any real LBM to get in the 10~% range.

I doubt I’ll persuade you, and like you said you don’t need to be trying to please random people on the internet. But I’ve read your posts before… There’s been times where you’ve gotten a bit leaner, and said you looked bigger, got compliments, shit like that. Every other big guy on here who ‘bulked’ and leaned down said the same thing. I think you may not be taking into consideration how happy getting lean could make YOU, man. I genuinely think you could make some crazy progress in your physique, literally by probably late- April! Like, idk dude. I think you should just give it a legit shot.

DD needs new pants now.

LOL. yeah. I went from a 36-38 pant waist to a loose 32. Those are actually some of my better fitting pants and I still have a hard time keeping them under the belt.

Your opinion is valid. I just don’t care right now. I know what my short term and long term goals are already. I know where I plan to be in what month. Just because I don’t post that in detail here doesn’t mean there are no plans.

many things I won’t write here because this site attracts too many people just here to argue no matter what gets written.

No one gets to this size without MUCH care in what gets eaten and lifted and when.
