I started working out in February of this year. I used M1T the first two months that I worked and gained a little over twenty pounds. However I felt that I incurred injuries during this period of time due to going too heavy, too fast.
Anyways I stopped M1T and continued to workout naturally but this nagging elbow injury I have continued to worsen I got to a point where it was to painful to train and I when and got a medical opinion. I was told by a G.P. that I have tendonitis in my right elbow. I have not been working out for a month now and have lost weight and strength. Will I get these gains that I made with M1T back naturally? Does tendonitis reoccur? How long does it last?

Thank you[/quote]
-yes, however it will take longer, and possibly harder work and/or better workout/nutrition plan
-sometimes, one can’t really do something about it other than giving the body time to adapt (tendons and similar tissue take MUCH longer than muscles to adapt to a certain stress). Stop immediately when it starts hurting and DO NOT wait until it hurts so bad that you can’t train any more.
-Impossible to say. Sometimes it goes away within ~3-4 weeks, sometimes it last will over 3 months. inflammation can take a long time to heal completely
If you begin training the injured joint again, make sure to use LIGHT weight and few reps (start with like 1 set), wait ~2 days if you feel anything, and continue from there slowly building up to your normal training
I have it both elbows. It used to hurt like bitch. Now it doesn’t really bother me unless I do something dumb like heavy tricep extensions. I am convinced fish has help tremendously.
Second the fish oil. Seemed to work very well for my achilles tendonitis that I had on a couple separate occasions. The only time I actually got it was when I wasn’t taking the fish oil.
I was diagnosed with tendonitis also. Take a break from all movements that cause pain. Fish does seem to help. Also, my doctor gave me this list of exercises to help rehab it:
I had a pretty good case of tendonitis in my left elbow for about a month. It generally caused me problems during tricep extensions, dips, pulldowns or similar movements (but not major pressing movements). I stopped doing those things for several weeks and I also started taking Glucosamine with MSM & Chondroitin sulfate. Haven’t had problems since (about 3 months ago).
I found that grip exercises helped with the pain/discomfort for me also, but I have no idea if that would work for everyone. Something to try anyway.
Another thing I recommend is trying to analyze what you were doing before the pain started. For me, it was definitely some bad form on a couple of exercises, and this helped me to focus on correcting that when my elbow felt better.
