Supplements for Hormone/Testosterone Balance

so assuming my e2/low-t issues are xenoestrogen issues doing things like making the switch to (ass much as i can find in this ghetto town) organic/free range/wild caught salmon stuff this should have a positive effect on my hormones over the pounds of tyson chicken and regular eggs i eat right?[/quote]

thats still up to debate. i eat all non-organic meat and eggs. i meant xenoestrogens from plastic, chemicals, and shit. i honestly think the whole estrogens in our meat is blown out of proportion.

if it is I’d say that most of my issues are probably from fat too. I noticed the biggest problems i had were when i was 255lbs.

Sucks now because of my schedule and that this is the lowest bf i’ve been in over a year (probably 19-22%) it’s getting kinda rough to drop the fat.

I’m wondering if i should pre plan an 8 week cycle of DAA and PES Erase try to get my levels as positive as possible and focus on crushing the bodyfat so hopefully my issues are resolved then.

i LOVE the T boosting effects of DAA but it also increases my estrogen a tonnnnn even on 3 caps (max dose) of erase. id tread lightly if you take DAA with already high e2.

you can tell when your e2 gets too high, well for me, because my nipples get really itchy like 24/7. the itch you cant scratch LOL.

hm, i guess pes erase isn’t all that strong huh? I’ve read some about other issues like prolactin or maybe it was progesterone.

to be honest it could be prolactin thats increasing instead of estrogen. but i took it with a heavy dose of mucuna pruriens so i kind of ruled out prolactin. only way i can find out is a before and after blood test but im too damn lazy to go back and forth to give blood and pick up my results 4 times lol.

BF and likely enough cortisol can be having an effect. High/low cortisol can/will cause sex and thyroid hormones to be off in a lot of cases. I would try to fix your cortisol before anything else and see if E2 and T fall bback into place.

Phosphatadylserine(sp?) and Bacopa are good. I would go with powders especially with PS since they can be pricey.

have you tried those? any good brands you can reccomend?

the only real natural way to lower cortisol is to try to relax more right?

also i’ve been taking rhodiola rosea. Just one 300mg pill in the morning (min total rosavins and min 2.7 salidrosides). Currently I just started my 1 week off after being on for 3 weeks. next tuesday when i start again I’m thinking about doubling up and maybe taking 1 in the morning and 1 in afternoon before or after a workout to see if it has any added benefit. I notice a difference. Also next week i get a 24 hour pee test to see how my over all cortisol release is

I think any brand would be fine with those. I buy the cheapest powders and they work. Bacopa I would take during the day in smaller doses and PS I would take in relatively larger doses in the evening and/or post work out.

Relaxing and getting DEEP sleep has worked for me. 300mg 5htp 30 mins before bed has improved my sleep immensely. Would highly recommend that as well.

ā€œWhen your body digests foods such as meat, cheese, dairy, grains and carbohydratres, acids are produced in your bloodstream. If these acids build up, your body takes protein from your muscles and calcium from your bones to buffer the acids. Acid buildup also lowers growth and thyroid hormone levels and increases stress hormones such as cortisol. Eat fruits and vegetables with each meal and take a green food supplement to alkalinize your body, offsetting metabolic acids.ā€

haha Honestly I don’t think I can really tell.

I started taking a lot of things at the same time so it’s hard to tell what is actually doing what.

These days I do feel a little better after dropping some bf, taking vit d3, getting some sun, taking zinc, magnesium, fishoil,

I’m thinking about buying some copper and taking 2ish mg every other day far from any zinc consumption since i’ve been taking 90mg of zinc everyday for about a week and a half.
later this week im going to pick the rhodiola back up too.

oh and at the end of the week I get some blood test and a 24 hour pee cortisol test

nice. let us know how the tests come out. not sure on the copper though man. alot of stuff i read suggested having a zinc deficiency is due to high enough copper already. by supplementing with just zinc i think youll bring everything back into balance. just my opinion.

x2 Not nearly enough people who take zinc also take copper to warrant it.

realizing the importance of vitamins i started doing some reading into vit C and E

have any of you guys used this for adrenal fatigue/ high e2?

Vit C is common for adrenal aid, I don’t know about E for that purpose though. Only thing I would add is 300mg for a day for C and 800mg for E are decent doses. And you want the E to be mixed tocopherols.

ive been taking 2-3g of vitamin c and 400IU of vitamin e for as long as i can remember. good stuff for general well being.
