maybe you should probably supplement with some copper then. or find a multivitamin with 2mg of copper. the rda for copper is 2mg btw not sure why fitday says its only 0.9mg.

hmm i also get 300mcg in my animal pak ( i know this is not a lot)
my isopure shake that i have once a day says that it has 50%of the rda in copper too.
so i think i may just buy some cocoa powder since it has 10% of the rda for every table spoon and maybe throw 3-5 table spoons in a protein shake or something

lol honestly man i wouldnt worry. i think the whole copper zinc thing is blown out of proportion. i bet if you really added it up youre getting 2-3mg a day. and if your pipes are copper i read the copper passes into your tap water. cooking in copper pots passes copper into your food too.
"Men and copper imbalance. Boys and men are far more affected when copper is out of balance than are women in many cases. Men should be zinc dominance. While most women have more copper in their bodies, men, by contrast, should be zinc-dominant. Zinc, a āmasculineā element, balances copper in the body and is essential for male reproductive activity.
Among the boys, symptoms that are most prominent are growth and developmental delay, ADD, ADHD, autism and related brain disorders. Among men, symptoms of copper toxicity, usually, include prostate enlargement, prostate infections and to some degree prostate cancer. Others include ED or erectile dysfunction that used to be called impotence, depression, anxiety and even violence. Others are testicular pain and testicular cancer in some cases.
Secondary sex characteristics and copper. Secondary sex characteristics are aspects of sexuality that are more mental and emotional than they are physical. For example, some men just love sex and women, while others are less sexual. The differences have to do with hormone levels, and often with the copper imbalance. Homosexuality, for example, is often related to copper levels for this reason. This is true for women as well as for men.
Low libido in women and men. This is also linked to copper imbalance. Since copper raises the hair and tissue calcium level, women, in particular, with very high copper levels or hidden copper on their hair analyses, often lose interest in sex. Their energy declines and the body can become a bit ĆĀ¢??numbĆĀ¢?? because excessive tissue calcium tends to render the nervous system less sensitive.
Low sexual interest in men is also related to copper, which interferes with zinc metabolism in many instances. MenĆĀ¢??s sperm and fluids are very rich in zinc. If they become depleted, male fertility and male sexual performance will always suffer. Most of the time, these problems are easy to overcome by correcting the levels of zinc and copper in the body using nutritional balancing methods.
Estrogen dominance and copper. Copper-toxic women are often estrogen dominant. This means they have more estrogen in their bodies, proportionately, than they have progesterone. However, we rarely use progesterone therapy. In fact, even natural or bio-identical progesterone therapy may be poorly tolerated in copper-toxic women and even men."
What form of zinc is best, or which form do you guys take?
Also does it have to be on an empty stomach or twice a day, or can it be all in one shot?
I take mine at night with magnesium for better sleep on an emtpy stomach but only about 30 mgms worth.

i use zinc citrate. gluconate and picolinate are good too. empty stomach yes, because it competes with calcium and iron for absorption. 30mg can be done in one shot, but if youre taking 60mg in one shot it can cause an upset stomach.

30mg of zinc gluconate was giving me an upset stomach when taken early morning 30-40 minutes before any food. This went away after a few days. Today i had 60mg in the morning and it did not hurt my stomach. Maybe you can get use to it like me.

going to 90mg of zinc already? lol you dont waste any time!
do you have alot of grains in your diet? theres some evidence floating around that the phytates in grains prevent zinc from being absorbed in the gut. i eliminated grains sunday and just realized its connection with zinc lol.

i eat 3.5 cups of white rice a day spread throughout 4 meals. other than that no grains the rest of my carbs come from 12oz blue berries, 12oz strawberries, 4oz banana, 4oz apple and 8oz raw broccoli
by the way no ridges on my finger nails. the only weird thing iāve really experienced skin/nail/hair wise is the tips of my fingers are dry, kinda slightly flaking or cracked.
edit: yeah man im on it dude, 90mg of zinc a day not including the 15mg i get from my animal pack and the 10-15mg i should get out of my diet.
I think going to 90mg per day would be fine considering you were probably deficient. Maybe cut back to 60 or so after a week or two, kind of like a loading phase⦠Then again youāre a pretty damn big mofo so 90mg might be fine lol.
Are you feeling any better?

yeah I only planned on staying at 90mg for 2-3 weeks
and yeah actually. I remember a month ago i was sluggish all day long. I had like no motivation and hated life all together just irritable. Now i feel pretty amazing most every day. i mean i still hit a brick wall around 2-3pm that will last anywhere from 1-4 hours where all I can think about is laying down or going to sleep but other than that my mornings and evenings are on point

nice. i think youll see a nice boost in testosterone and drop in estradiol on your next bloodwork!
On another note, stopping with tapping raises testosterone as well!

nope. my estrogen problem isnt really xenoestrogen related. its entirely due to aromatization of my endogenous testosterone. and its entirely bodyfat related. when i had a lower bodyfat my e2 was right at 23pg/ml. since i put on some weight bulking it went up to 40 something.
i tried using supplements to bring it down but its my own fault for letting the bulking get out of control. now that im back on the AD my lower chest fat is starting to whittle away.
so assuming my e2/low-t issues are xenoestrogen issues doing things like making the switch to (ass much as i can find in this ghetto town) organic/free range/wild caught salmon stuff this should have a positive effect on my hormones over the pounds of tyson chicken and regular eggs i eat right?
