Although my ft3 was at 4.2 out of 5 on the lab I was still tired. So adding 2 grains got me up to 5-6. My doc says that’s the difference between thyroid and free t. With thyroid you want to get the levels into the top 4.6 to 5 or 6 range depending on the lab. Yes it’s scary to think you might take too much, but you’ll know if you have too much or not enough.
@sublimeprince32 - L-Tyrosine is a stimulant? I take 3 grams every morning on an empty stomach and don’t really feel a thing. I’m pretty convinced it doesn’t do anything actually.
Have you taken it?
I take 30mg at about 5am, then another 30mg at about 11am. I feel like I may be getting a little more energy from them, so it’s good. I just increased to this dosage about a week ago, so new bloodwork won’t be for awhile.
Tyrosine doesn’t do much for me. I’ve tried mucuna as well, which I don’t get a thing from either.
I’m still holding out that 30mg/day will increase my FT enough to feel something.
I remember a while back physiologik recommended L-Tyrosine… But I’m not sure it’s done anything for me.
I’m on 42mg EOD now consistently and 135mg armour thyroid daily. 12-16 hours after my injection, without fail, I feel awesome. Sense of well being is great…Then, like right now, it’s an injection night… I’m feeling a bit tired and not as good as yesterday.
I called to see if they would increase my Armour because I’m not feeling energetic all the time, etc… I’m going in mid October to discuss my recent results.
Hoping for the best for you and 30mg daily!
Well, it’s 30mg twice a day.
My Total T3 is the same as yours. My idiot dr. won’t test FT3 for some reason. Anyway, with a 93 for Total T3, he increased me so my now 60mg total a day.
I’d think you have room for increase for sure. Hopefully your dr. is progressive and allows you to tinker a bit.
Your labs show that you need more. You want to be above 4 for ft3. this lab is low just like they’ve done to free t. it should go up to 5 +…
I am getting annoyed that they are intentionally lowering our numbers and people think they are maximized on dose. When its actually not maxed out. When we have thyroid symptoms we want to top it off. We increase dose slowly until symptoms resolve. Just like TRT. The difference is you have a range that works for just about everyone.
I highly suggest you get a new doc if your doc is ignorant to this notion. or go and get some research chemicals and order T3 liquid form.
Try 60 in the morning tomorrow and thats all. I know it will suck later in the day, but you will quickly find out if you need more. If it works i would call the doc and tell him you want more : ]
Thanks @enackers - I had some extra Armour for some reason, so for the past 1.5 months I’ve been experimenting and taking 45mg upon waking and 90mg around 2pm.
I can totally tell the difference. My dose now is 90mg once per day. I asked the doc to increase the dose to 90mg twice a day. He wants to talk before increasing the dose, so hopefully he will agree.
Yah get that bro. It makes a massive difference. Over exaggerate the hell out of it. Ensuring he doesn’t say no.
I think some folks don’t make it clear how shirty they feel and that’s why docs don’t feel an urgent need ![]()
Update:
Still not feeling much from 30mg a day. The only thing is that PDE5s aren’t working as well as when my test levels are lower. They work, just not as well.
I’d venture to say I actually feel less sexual with girlfriend than on lower levels. Still waiting for something here. Debating moving up to like 32mg/day.
Anyone have any thoughts?
You problems is you keep making changes and never allow enough time for things to work out on each protocol. You need to be patience because it takes a year for some to regain sexual function on TRT, but this will never happen if you keep fooling around with your protocol.
I would do a quick lab 1st Total t , free t CBC. E2
This has nothing to do with your T lvl. Your E2 is off the chart. You’ve got to stop listening to these clowns. You think you are fucked up now just wait. Think I’m full of shit go get your blood tested.
A friend of mine who started TRt recently needed 6-7 weeks to start feeling well. He is on daily injections now and not giving a shit about e2, but seems his thyroid will also need optimization
That’s what make daily injections king, if your dosing isn’t excessive and you’re not a genetic freak, estrogen will not be an issue for the mass majority. When you get the hang of it and know when levels are low or high, there is no sense in running labs when you feel unwell, you just increase/decrease the dose until you feel good.
I’m starting to agree with you hrdlvn. My E2 on an EOD 30mg protocol was 49. I can only imagine what it is on a 30mg DAILY protocol.
Thing is is that when I drop the test amount in order to reduce E2, I lose the effects of the test. SO, in theory, I need a higher dose to jack up FT, but maybe some ai to keep the E2 in check.
I MAY go back to E3D protocol at some point. That had my FT high, and my E2 lower.
@systemlord And also give it enough time. For example I started t3 a week ago and I felt strange the first days, but now I start to notice some benefits especially in the gym. I still feel strange but its getting better. I will increase the dose at a slower rate I was advised by the doctor because that is how I feel my body.
If PDE5s dont even work good on your protocol, something is seriously up.
PDE5s will not work on anyone with low libido. Before trt they did nothing for me. I didn’t even have ED per se. But no libido means no PDE5 will ever work.
