Let’s say you are taking like 100-200mg a week for TRT, are your testosterone levels higher than that of a natural or are they just mimicking natural levels? I have heard some say it is just mimicking natural levels, while others have said it can put your TT to 1300 ish. Obviously for older men who have low T, it likely just mimicks natural levels. But what about for younger guys? The reason I ask is because if I eventually plan to cruise after blasts (which is no guarantee, strictly hypothetical), I am curious as to what to expect while on that cruise. I have a friend in the gym who blasts and cruises and he said even while he cruises his sex drive, energy, performance in the gym, etc. is higher than when natural. Thank you for the insight!
It’s like having a rock hard dick 24/7 and the libido of an 18 year old, a somewhat elevated ability to gain/keep muscle mass (though nothing close to that of being on cycle), a natural antidepressant and just feel better in general. It’s great but it is for life and can take a while to get to that point for some. Don’t expect to take a shot and immediately have all the things listed above. One of the pluses with TRT is your T levels stay at that level and won’t fluctuate due to sleep issues and the like.
I’m nowhere near that. Nebido woes, I guess.
Took me forever to get there. I’m scared to try steroids because I don’t want to fuck it up.
It is much higher than when I was a natural. That is the point. I will also say I am almost for sure higher than 99% of men as I take 200 mg a week with 3 pins per week.
The whole being higher than normal thing isn’t a concern for me. If I have a level of 1200 ng/dL, and feel great, and don’t have any reasons to believe it is unhealthy, then I don’t care if I have an advantage over other men (it is a positive in fact).
Strictly for Test Cyp, the longer lasting ester, if I was to take around 160mg for TRT dose would you suggest 3 shots in a week split up as 40/40/80 or 2 at 80 a piece? I tend to have a little difficulty with estrogen and have become completely against AIs (as we discussed on a previous post). What split do you think would be more beneficial for hormone balance if there is a difference at all?
@bbluxury
It’s more likely your difficulty is hormones fluctuating than it is just higher estrogen in general. I went a year thinking the same thing turned out more frequent shots did the trick even though my estrogen is higher than at trough on less frequent injections. I wouldn’t normally tell someone to start with more frequent injections but since you already have experience then I’d definitely say go for it. Regardless, keep in mind that the first 2 months may not be the most amazing time of your life (while your body gets used to TRT) but after that it should be smooth sailing. I personally think 160mg split into EOD injections would be a near ideal starting point for you. Basically 45-46mg EOD.
Awesome. Thanks for the feedback on both this and the other post I made, much appreciated man.
Anytime brother. Good luck and keep us updated on how it goes.
Is forever a year, or years?
If I am going to do 160 mg on 3X a week, I am going to pin MWF in the morning, and do 50, 50, 60 mg. I would not have one dose be 2X the others. Just slightly more to account for the extra day.
That makes sense, I will either do it like that or 40mg for 4 days a week. Last question I have then I should be good. I am expected to see 2 chicks 6 weeks from now. With where I am currently, on 400mg blast (taken 2x a week at 200mg), and on recovery from low E2 which is getting better after 5 days of last A.I dose, what would you suggest for best hormonal balance 6 weeks from now? I have 5 weeks left anyway on my 400mg so should I just stay on that but keep the injections split? Or would maybe dropping it to TRT for 6 weeks split evenly be more beneficial?
Not sure on that one. I think it is individualistic.
I have found by moving my dose up and down and seeing how so feel overall that number falls around 1000 total T with 20ish free-T which I feel best. I’ve been as low as 600 and as high as 1600 since on TRT.
The 600 it wasn’t even worth the effort or TRT cost for me feeling/benefit wise. I didn’t feel good at all plus I didn’t feel like a “natural 600” is that makes since it seemed lower feeling wise. Recently hit upper 1300’s on a test dose it actually gave me less libido and itchy skin so backed dose down to that 1000 range again.
Plan on staying there I just feel great at that point overall and no side affects. Anything more or less it’s like I’m fighting my body away from where it what’s to be at!
The only time I ever had T checked young was when I played sports it was 800’s natural. Since then fail to 200’s natural and that doesn’t feel good trust me. Im TRT for life can’t do that low T again it was miserable and getting worse.
One year but would have been less had I been less retarded at the time.
I’d stay at 400mg split twice a week (could do more frequent if you want) with no AI until sexy time and then after drop down to TRT.
I’m 54 years old and taking 120mg a week. My labs just came in and TT was flagged HIGH. LOL

That converts to 750 ng/dl
Apparently, I’m Superman in comparison to 25 year olds. LOL

This. I just want this! 4/5 weeks into a new protocol… patiently waiting!
You’ll get there bud just be patient and resist the urge to make changes to soon. What’s your protocol?
Thanks man. Well I started TRT in Feb so I am very early on. My first protocol my Test hardly rose but my E2 sure did… So I was feeling not great at all… low T and high E… Oh boy!
I increased test and changed to this protocol adjustment 5 weeks ago…
15mg Test Cyp daily
100ius HCG daily
6.25 Exemestane E3D to control E2 - As that would of rose even higher with the increase test (The Dr is planning to take me off the AI when he feels he can)
Anyway on this new protocol I had bloods drawn last week just to see how things were going and my results looked much better…
Testosterone - 27.1 (8.6 - 29) (this was at 12 on my starting protocol)
E2 - 110 (41 - 159) (prior to AI this was up at 185)
SHBG - 17 (18.3 - 54.1)
Free T - 0.78 (0.2 - 0.62)
Prolactin - 187 (86 - 324)
I must say even though it has only been 5 weeks on this new protocol and after an initial wobbly 2/3 weeks I am starting to feel somewhat better, and I have snippits of libido and a few more morning erections, but still not consistently good as you describe, its like I get little bits every now and again. Hoping it gets better with time as I think I read a few times libido/erections can take months from the moment you get on a good protocol, im not going to count the first 5 weeks on trt as that starting protocol really did nothing.
I dont think it would be a good idea to change anything now as I am starting to feel better even if its small, and the numbers look good too
