I’ll get back here to bask in my glory and recap last night’s workout - been some whirlwind flights and I appreciate everyone humoring my self-aggrandizing
Knocked out solid pull and push workouts despite redeye flights, etc. I’m doing a better job of going back to just getting the work in, like you have to do to be successful, and let the circumstances fall where they may.
Actually got my cardio in this morning (30 minutes elliptical) and caught a flight out this evening I didn’t think I’d make so I’ll be able to surprise my kids at their field day tomorrow morning. Lots of wins.
This is so good. Salute to you sir.
I’ll get back in here and log a full workout, eventually, but for now just know I’m still hitting all my workouts, half-assing my diet, crushing work, and at least getting the weekends in with my kids (I’m pretty big on not flying on Sundays anymore).
I’ll get back to do a final weigh-in for my 6-week challenge team Thursday night, and some of them have some pretty impressive numbers even before I pull out the cheater tricks I’ll certainly be doing for the next 96 hours. I’m talking 10 - 30 lbs lost so far per participant, so we’ll be able to post 20-45 lbs at the final. They’ve really bought in and it’s been cool to watch.
Holy hell you’re looking massive man!!! Best arms on the forum??
Ha! Thanks man. The trick is an unacceptably high bodyfat percentage.
Forgot to follow up about my 6-weekers! Incredibly performance by this team:
-
One gent lost 39.7 lbs (he started at 283, so had room). Incredible work and he never missed a training day so it’s not like we just starved it out of him. IF, biking, and old-school lifting worked for him.
-
Another guy, an Army vet, lost just under 25. He struggled with foot injuries, but did really well with a lot of steady state cardio, portion control, and static lifting.
-
The mom in my group lost 6.2kg (she speaks in metric system!) and loved 6 meals a day, bodybuilding workouts, and timing her carbs - right after my own heart.
-
Finally, my last guy lost 8 lbs and nailed a 42” box jump on our last workout. He’s pretty springy and started lean; keys for him are CrossFit-style workouts and getting his protein up. He got significantly stronger and was pretty baller at leaving it all on the floor.
Super impressed with the team. We’re taking a week off and then we’ll get rolling on a new plan. Number one and two still have weight to lose, but we need to start getting more sustainable; 2 also has some barbell goals he wants to hit. 3 and 4 want to add a little muscle. I could legit get 3 on stage by winter if she wanted (that’s not the plan, that’s just the condition/ mindset she has) and number 4 has some performance goals we’ll write down and nail.
We’ve also got to figure out what’s sustainable for me - I’m getting pretty busy and this is tough. They motivate me with their work ethics though.
Pretty fun playground workout next to the hotel today, and I left with the same number of kids I showed up with so no felonies were committed.
My beautiful wife went with me and we did a bunch of pull-ups and push-ups and even split squats and hanging leg raises. Then she decided it was time for a run so I ran to the gas station for coffee.
fixed that for you
Your group’s results are awesome! Give every one of them a fist bump for me! And, I love, love, love that you helped each of them find the approach that fit them best. I nominate you Trainer of the Year!!!
Lets not make his head get any bigger, he already got voted best arms. LOL
He needs a bigger head to match the arms so he doesn’t start looking like Johnny Bravo. ![]()
This has become my favorite alternate reality
Not gonna lie, that’s the picture of you I have in my head. lol
I saw his legs, and that’s pretty accurate
Dude, a jacked upper body and small legs is never a bad look, I don’t care who you are
Dude’s name is literally “Strong Guy”. Can’t top that.
And THIS dude was awesome in “Guilty Gear”
…I guess it was really more a “90s” look come to think about it…but that was the best decade!
Agreed all-around! I’m just happy we’re representing the 90s on here!
I was trying to respond with a “Street Fighter” image… but they all look to have thick legs to go with their arms.
I gotchu!

Uhmmm… I dunno, recently I have been seeing a guy in town that absolutely needs that copy of SuperSquats. He looks positively ridiculous.
