So I got a shoulder sprain from surfing 4 weeks ago. I got some laser & ultrasound therapy, and it got better, not 100% though. And in 1 week I am going surfing again (I planned this trip 5 months ago, so there’s no way I am cancelling it). Could compression stuff / braces or icing it every evening after surfing keep it from worsening?
I am sick of not being able to train (before this I had an ulnar nerve entrapment). Are there ANY exercises I can do for chest / back / shoulder without aggrevating the sprain?
I also vaguely remember reading something about carryover, when you train one side, the other side also gains a bit of strength. Does anybody remember the link to that article?
