Oh yeah, remember no sauces/butter with your solid meal! And remember that you need to get the rest of your shakes in even though your one solid meal will probably fill you up for most of the day,
Good luck. But luck has nothing to do with it.

nepa @8:30 @3.5mph
So…today was the easiest since Day 1. Work was really busy, one girl didn’t show and another was sick, so I had a party of 21 people plus 7 other tables all at once. I was racing around in my three inch heals for couple hours until it slowed down. Around two it became steady enough that I could drink my shake.
I was asked to cut a slab of double chocolate brownies into 20 individual pieces then wrap each one in plastic wrap. I had chocolate all over my fingers and the thought of eating a tiny leftover piece crossed my mind but I thought about it and decided I didn’t even really want it. Plus, I can’t let my brother win now…hehe. I didn’t even lick my fingers!!!
Then, my boss said that we could help ourselves to amazingly delicous cheesecake that they had extra of. This tempted me a lot. The cheesecake there is absolutely amazing!!! drizzled with caramel sauce…mmmmmm. but i didn’t try it and I wasn’t even really bothered by it sitting there on the counter in the open. I actually forgot about it for the rest of the shift.
After work I met my brother at his gym and we did part of the workout together. There is a blizzard warning for our city so during abs we decided to cut it short and head home before the roads get too bad (thus the reason for splitting the surge). Once home i did some ab stuff then my bro suggested a plank contest. The rules: first to fall loses. I WON!!! (actually our little sister beat us both, but thats beside the point. I beat my brother!!)
Sorry, for such long post, if anyone actually made it through…I’m evading homework :)
I read all the way thru it. I was impressed with ur ability to pass on the brownies & cheesecake! and laughed out loud regarding the plank contest!!!
You crack me up!!!

Working in a restaurant must be tuff. I don’t think I could deal with that. Much due respect for dealing with that. I remember my motto for alot of things in life used to be a little saying I had that went something like this: “I can only resist what doesn’t tempt me.” My perception was warped no? Anywho, keep up the excellent progress, and oh yeah, I got 20 bucks on Sam for the next Plank contest.

Glad you got the courage to start this. I
Thoughts:
Not to be a dick, but next time don’t let ANYONE take your supps do start their own diet. This is YOUR diet, and YOU are responsible for yourSELF. Let them worry about their order. Take care of #1 first and foremost (yeah, I sound horrible). It is the next thing to a death sentence on this diet. Better to complete 1 V-Diet than have 2 V-Diets fail because supps are short (yours AND your brother’s).
Well, my shipment arrived in two days, my cousins in three, so I wasn’t at all worried that my brothers wouldn’t make it. Part of the problem was an “intent to distribute” type thing I think as my brother and I live in the country and only have a p.o. box, which Biotest won’t ship to. So we shipped both our orders to our cousin’s place in winnipeg, for a total of three orders.
Next, time we will definitely wait to have all the supps before starting anything. But I think the easiest thing to do is have everything shipped to relatives in the states and actually drive down to pick them up.
Yeah, I plan on ordering another stack special so I can save the $ to my cousins in the states to save the $90 on shipping. Then, go on a road trip next month to pick it up
On Surge:
I got the same way the first few times I had it. I did get used to it though. Also, it helps to dilute it in more water than is recommended. That changes the taste slightly.
You won’t miss bagels after this diet. Just stay on track.
yeah, i’m getting used to the Surge. I haven’t really craved bagels, but I do imagine that my pb and flax shake is a 12 grain bagel…mmm.
I’m trying to make change as we speak, but as for the hoping part, I’m not really sure what my ideal weight is. Unlike some of the dieters, I’ve never been in amazing shape and therefore don’t really now what my body would look like at different body fat %ages. Any thoughts on this?

What about shake 'n bake? The blizzard hit last night and I’m not sure if we will be able to get to the city to pick up steak. I’m guessing plain grilled chicken breasts would be better?
Thanks for all your support and help. I love reading others posts! ![]()

It is hard, but this whole thing is hard. I think it may actually make things easier as I am tempted right from day 1. It won’t all of a sudden hit me three weeks in if I go out with friends or something. The last place I waitressed was a truck stop and watching obese/overweight people order chili burgers with chili cheese fries and milkshakes to drink made me decide I would never be like that. You really are what you eat.
I promise not to let you down. The next contest will be monday I’m thinking as that is our next workout day. hehe I can’t wait.
love that quote by the way. This diet will not only kill the emotional connection to food. I think it will brutally murder it.

I too was impressed. Normally even if I was trying to eat healthy I would have a small piece or at least lick the chocolate off my fingers.
The plank contest was a lot of fun. My abs were dying from all the stuff already when Nick came up with the idea. I can never turn down a challenge, or being the competitive person I am let someone else beat me.
I’m thinking maybe we should do something other than planks next time…any ideas?
Most situps in a minute.
Moistest situps in a minute if you have diarrhea…

Um…nope. if you look at the original Velocity Diet article, it’s just plain. No breaded stuff and no additives like dressing or sauces. Spices are cool because they don’t add anything. Hopefully you can get steak, because it’s tastier than chicken any day…
Week One: Lean steak, plain sweet potato, steamed veggies
Week Two: Oatmeal and blueberries with scoop of protein powder
Week Three: Turkey burger, salad, steamed broccoli
Week Four: Huge spinach salad with double order of grilled chicken
Day 6:
12:00 1 van, flax, 2 HRX, Se7en
1:30 1 choc, instant coffee
3:00 1 orange, 2 Flameout
4:30 .5 choc, .5 banana, 2 HRX, Se7en
7:30 1 straw, 1 banana, 2 HRX
9:30 1 choc, pb, flax
Today was hard. I couldn’t go to work because of the blizzard and spent all day thnking about food. Can’t wait for my hsm tomorrow, but it will probably be chicken unless the roads clear up.

hmm…sounds interesting. We used to do this in little school. I’d usually win with about 66 if I remember correctly.

Thanks! Maybe I’ll try chili pepper or something. I usually add hot sauce to everything, but that doesn’t comply with the diet.
Depending on the hot sauce it’s probably OK. I have a bottle of BBQ sauce that is mostly sugar so you should stay away from that. Hot sauce is usually quite low in calories but is filling and relatively nutritious and is strongly anti-inflammatory. This is the nutrition profile for generic hot sauce (Something like Tabasco, Franks, Louisiana, etc):

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Tobasco sauce it is. I am super excited. And it looks like I will be getting steak as soon as the stores open at 12. I just saw the snow plow go by.
Day 7 (the moment of truth):
weight: 136lbs (-7lbs)
bf: ~19% (according to my calculations assuming I didn’t gain or lose muscle)
belly: 34 (-1)
hips: 40 (-1)
upper leg: 24 (-.5)
lower leg: 14.5 (-.5)
upper arm: 12.5 (-.5)
Pics will be posted as soon as I wake my brother and find his camera.
