Sam's V-Diet log

One down, 27 more to go. Day 1 is a piece of cake, can’t wait to see what I’ll feel like after the first week though.

So, day 1 went really, really well. I am unbelievably FULL and have had to force myself to drink all the shakes. I’m still liking the Metabolic Drive, but as for the Surge…who said it tastes like angel food cake!!! I read that in multiple threads and was expecting a somewhat sweet, delicate taste, as most people would when thinking about angel food cake, but was shocked when I had to choke down a sugary concoction. The original flavour tastes like crazy, super sweet, sugar water…with xtra sugar!
Eventually I’m thinking I’ll look forward to this taste…maybe hoping more than thinking. It did give me tons of energy after my workout though.

Not sure what else to add…between work and class I decided to mix my shake in my car and ended up getting chocolate md everywhere…haha. The only thing I had to clean it up was a pair of socks from my gym bag…didn’t work so well.

At this point I am not going to post my V-Diet. I will probably mention it on my Shut Up thread, but doubt I will create a seperate post. I say that now…by the end of the day I may start a thread titled, “V-Diet…WHAT THE HELL WAS I THINKING???” LOL

So dont hold me to my blog!!!

I most certainly understand what you mean regarding wanting to prove something to yourself. That’s the same exact boat I am in!! Im not worried about the scale, the numbers, or even the pictures. I just want to do and prove to myself that Im a bad ass and can hang with the tough crowd!!!

Did you buy all the sups? Im dreading the BCAA’s…omg…they look like horse pills! LOL

Day 1 - 27 more to go!!

I bought the supplement stack advertised over at MWA. I didn’t think I needed the BCAA as I have hardly any muscle to begin with, so I’m not too concerned with losing it. I actually think I may fall into the category of gaining muscle on the diet because I am a beginner who never got nearly enough protein before.

Are they bigger than the Flameout? those things are huge!

haha…a piece of angel food cake maybe

Day 2 was easy again, although I’m getting some cravings for food that I’m trying to ignore. I can’t wait for my PB tonight.

Day 2:

Food:
10:00 2 scoops vanilla Metabolic Drive, flax, 2 hrx, se7en.
1:30 2 scoops vanilla Metabolic Drive, 2 Flameout
5:00 1.5 scoops vanilla Metabolic Drive, .5 scoops orange Metabolic Drive, 2 HRX, Se7en
8:00 1 scoop strawberry Metabolic Drive, 2 Flameout
9:30 1 scoop chocolate Metabolic Drive, flax, pb.

nepa walk @ 8:15 (40minutes @3.5mph)

Today was alright. Not as easy as yesterday, but manageable. I think the Surge really helped as I am not nearly as sore today as I normally would be after a workout. Because of this, tomorrow I’m thinking of sipping some Surge during my workout as this may help me work harder.

Just curious how you are handling eating so late in the day? After 3 short days I have realized a shake at 730am does wonders for curbing cravings.

Day 3 almost over girl!!! I think I see day 28 off in the distance

Honestly, I don’t have any real cravings. The sweetness of the shakes kinda turns my stomach and I can hardly manage to keep them down let alone drink them all.

Normally, I don’t eat breakfast until later in the day because I take iron which your supposed to take on an empty stomach as soon as I get up. Then, I wait at least an hour to eat (when I’m not v-dieting).

If you think about it, we are almost halfway to our first meal!!! I’m thinking I want a steak with sweet potatoes and broccoli…mmmm. its odd, because I never really liked steak before but now i can’t wait.

I might pull out the barbeque and cook the steaks outside, unless we get another blizzard on sunday.

That sounds absolutely amazing. I’ll even take a picture for our threads hehe.

Today went ok. I wasn’t craving much because I felt nausaus. Again, I had trouble drinking all the shakes due to how filling they are so I divided my first one up. I drank a couple cups of green tea today, but again felt this was wrong, so I decided to drink boiling water in an unsuccessful attempt at deadening my tastebuds. I actually now like drinking plain, hot water if that makes any sense. if i close my eyes while drinking it i can pretend its actual tea with milk…maybe the protein is getting to me lol

Nothing exciting happened today. I did spill Surge all over myself in my car and had to clean it up with a blanket from my backseat…you’d think i’d learn after last time to either a)not drink in my car or b)bring paper towel.

Day 4 is almost gone!!! Someone sent me a PM yesterday and said something to the fact, “Look at it this way, 10% of the diet is complete.”

Right now we have successfully completed 14% of the diet!!!

Wooo-hooo!!

THAT RAWKS!!!

nepa @ 8:00 @3.5mph

today was good, not nearly as difficult as I thought. I thought it would be challenging being that close to food at work but it was fine.

There may be a slight problem with finishing the diet. My brother has been using my supplies until his arrives, but we found out today health canada denied part of the shipment at the border. We don’t know which part, but hopefully it is something we can find a adequate replacement for here. My supplies aren’t nearly enough for both of us to finish…

“Oh nooooo!” about the supps. Can you PM Shug and ask if he can recommend a replacement until you get your stuff or call customer svc to find out why your shipment was denied?

Technically Im on Day 7. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday I did the light version — and guess what chicky — stepped on the scale this morning and my big o’ bootie is SEVEN POUNDS LIGHTER THIS MORNIN’!!! Owwwwwww!!! Sound the bell, schools is session suckah! Sorry—was listening to MC Hammer this morning on my way to work!! I keep singing “Cant touch this!” lol

Are you eating your first meal tomorrow or Sunday? I believe Im eating mine tomorrow. Supposed to be going to a steakhouse with a friend. Im looking forward to chicken and broccolli! Yummy stuff!

p.s. 17% complete.

Day 5:

9:00 1 scoop vanilla, 2 HRX, Se7en
10:00 1 scoop vanilla
2:00 1scoop vanilla, 1scoop orange
6:00 1scoop choc, 1 banana
6:30 2 HRX, Se7en, 2 Flameout

9:30 1/5 Surge

workout part 2:
cx1 + 100crunches + plank contest with brother.

nepa @8:30 @3.5mph

So…today was the easiest since Day 1. Work was really busy, one girl didn’t show and another was sick, so I had a party of 21 people plus 7 other tables all at once. I was racing around in my three inch heals for couple hours until it slowed down. Around two it became steady enough that I could drink my shake.

I was asked to cut a slab of double chocolate brownies into 20 individual pieces then wrap each one in plastic wrap. I had chocolate all over my fingers and the thought of eating a tiny leftover piece crossed my mind but I thought about it and decided I didn’t even really want it. Plus, I can’t let my brother win now…hehe. I didn’t even lick my fingers!!!

Then, my boss said that we could help ourselves to amazingly delicous cheesecake that they had extra of. This tempted me a lot. The cheesecake there is absolutely amazing!!! drizzled with caramel sauce…mmmmmm. but i didn’t try it and I wasn’t even really bothered by it sitting there on the counter in the open. I actually forgot about it for the rest of the shift.

After work I met my brother at his gym and we did part of the workout together. There is a blizzard warning for our city so during abs we decided to cut it short and head home before the roads get too bad (thus the reason for splitting the surge). Once home i did some ab stuff then my bro suggested a plank contest. The rules: first to fall loses. I WON!!! (actually our little sister beat us both, but thats beside the point. I beat my brother!!)

Sorry, for such long post, if anyone actually made it through…I’m evading homework

Apparently, we’ll get a letter in the mail from health canada shortly.

Wow! Congrats!!! I’ve been listening to lots of rap and country…really keeps me motivated.

Sunday will be my first meal. The steakhouse sounds great. I think my bro will be bbq-ing mine, weather permitting. Are you going to have a sweet potato? or just the chicken and broccoli?

Glad you got the courage to start this. I

Thoughts:

Not to be a dick, but next time don’t let ANYONE take your supps do start their own diet. This is YOUR diet, and YOU are responsible for yourSELF. Let them worry about their order. Take care of #1 first and foremost (yeah, I sound horrible). It is the next thing to a death sentence on this diet. Better to complete 1 V-Diet than have 2 V-Diets fail because supps are short (yours AND your brother’s).

That being said, I know you can pull through, because we’re watching you. I would order another set now, or as soon as you can, because you’ll need to make sure you’ve got the replacements ahead of time.

On Surge:

I got the same way the first few times I had it. I did get used to it though. Also, it helps to dilute it in more water than is recommended. That changes the taste slightly.

You won’t miss bagels after this diet. Just stay on track.

One last thing–Never ‘hope’ for change. MAKE change. Strike the word ‘hope’ from your vocabulary. Everyone I see always ‘hopes’ to lose weight. You don’t hope for something that’s 100% under your control. You either take it by choice, or else recognize that you don’t have the necessary willpower to better yourself. There’s nothing to ‘hope’ for, since it is under your control. In general if something doesn’t work, it just means you need to educate yourself and change things around. Just do it. You’ve shown your willingness to step out and do something hard, so I know you can complete the life-style change if you commit yourself all the way.
