Adding the BCAA/Glutamine before and after workouts made a big difference. I recovered faster and made better gains. I tried some Sci-Fit brand BCAA though and it didn’t work as well. Maybe it wasn’t as high quality? Didn’t think Universal would be good quality until I tried it.

Poll: If you’ve used any of the following supplements, which brands or specific products do you think are the best?

  1. Amino acid supplement

Never used any.

  1. Glutamine

I tried glutamine from Muscle Tribe. I used it with their creatine monohydrate powder. Gave me great pumps. Using their creatine by itself gave me nothing. I also used a creatine/glutamine blend from American BB. I liked it better than the Muscle Tribe.

  1. Glucosamine or any joint health formula

Just started using glucosamine from Holista. Picked it up at the pharmacy 'cause it was the cheapest brand. After only a few days my joints already feel better.

  1. Misc. herbs

Never purchased any herbs for specific training purposes. I have used various teas, and caffeine pills. Does Milk Thistle count? (Sorry have no brand names)

  1. Diuretics (water loss)

Never used anything specifically for water loss although I have used various things that have diuretic effects.
