Physique Clinic discussion for novagreg

Greg,

Your theme song should be “Pardon Me” by Incubus. It would totally fit the “Phoenix Theory” approach you have taken.

“So pardon me, while I burst into flames
I’ve had enough of the World and its people’s mindless games
So pardon me while I burn
And rise above the flame
Pardon me, pardon me
I’ll never be the same”

As for other music I would go with TheDudeAbides, that’s some pretty good workout music.

And I’m behind you all the way. You have my support and prayers.

LOL – I am a huge McCartney fan, but I gotta admit, that one bugs the hell out of me too.

As to internet radio stations to record to my ipod, the ones I have been having luck with are:

525 PowerTracks
ChroniX Agression
{XRM] - Alternative
181.fm - The Buzz
Idobi Radio: Music that doesn’t suck (a little lighter, for me good for cardio)

Blake,

Great suggestion, I coincidentally love that song. I think if I had to pick one song though, it’d be “Line In The Sand” by Motorhead. If any of you haven’t heard it, go check it out. Hope you all had a great holiday.

Hey, novagreg.

This question may have already been asked and answered but I was wondering when you plan on updated everyone on your stats. I’d like to see what kind of progress you’ve made so far, either through stats or updated pics.

Thanks!

Hey man,
I’ll ask CT what he wants me to do, but so far, he’s said nothing to me about measurements, pics, even weighing myself. I’ll take some at the end of this week, which will be the end of week 4.

Here are a few songs that got me going today:

Rainbow- Stone Cold
Foghat- Slow Ride
Survivor- Eye of the Tiger
Warrant- Down Boys

Didn’t I see in your Clinic that you are down about two or three notches on your belt?

Congrats – WAY TO GO!

E-Loo,
Yeah, I am down three notches on some belts, two on others. Thanks for the support man. Every journey begins with a first step. I’ve just started mine.

Hey guys, just wanted to check in and say hi. Works been crazy, but I’m going to keep up with a more detailed daily blog about my training, diet, and the mental process and day to day stuff I go through. Hope you’re all doing well.

Keep up the great work man, I feel you on the crazy work schedule.

Novagreg what was your starting weight? The start of the blog has you listed at 260 but when you took your weight you are 260. Hope to see some pics in the next few days. Keep up the good work and glad to hear about your new job.

Hey buddy keep up the good work!!! YAAAAAAAAAAA

Nice work Greg, and congrats on the new job! Where will you be working at?

Have a good weekend.

Hey guys,
Thanks for the congrats on the new job, I appreciate it! I’m not going to name the company, but I’ll be doing sales for a large national company, just not in the retail capacity.

In terms of my scale weight, not sure what’s up with it, I know when going low carb, it’s possible to have some fat loss and muscle gain going on at once. I also did not weigh myself daily as I am now, so there’s a good chance I could have started the Physique Clinic at around 265, a bit heavier than when I wrote my essay and sent in pics months and months ago.

Awesome job on dropping the belt notches man!

Are you tkaing out all of the Olive Oil and Fish Oil or just Olive Oil

Thanks HumanHorrorFilm, I appreciate the support! Pretty much all the oil is gone, you’ll see when I post my diet later today.

Wow, It is good to see that all the PC people are doing great. Down in the waist but not ont the scale, I hear that is how it’s done. good job busting some dick in the gym. A testament to the resiliency of muscle.

You also look a lot leaner in the back and arms. This must be one of your first ‘go-points’ for fat. Just randomly.

-chris

Hey,

Thanks for the kind words Chris. I think everyone does have certain spots where they do lean out first. I’m almost down a full 10 pounds at this point, and today marks the point where I am halfway done. I’m hoping that the changes to my training and diet will help me pick up some steam.

They projected 30-40 pounds of fat loss, which is a lot in 12 weeks, and I’m hoping to hit the low end of that number. I am going to keep perspective, if I only lost around 20, that’s still a good amount in 12 weeks, and I’ll likely require another cutting phase to be beach ready for this year.

Greg:

Gotta’ question for you that Coach Thibs didn’t address in the beginning (at least I don’t think so).

All these “Physique Clinic” programs cover all bodyparts, with numerous exercises. How did you go about determining the starting weights you used for each exercise? When and how does Coach Thibs have you INCREASE the weights?

Keep up the great work!

Mufasa

Hey Mufasa,

For the starting weights, I just had to play around and estimate initially. I also had to take in mind that with everything I’m lifting with set tempo’s, which I hadn’t done in quite some time.

I don’t get the reasoning behind this ultimatum Thibs and Chris just gave. You don’t deserve to get kicked out Novagreg. But all you can do is put in 110% on this next phase so you know you did your part.

Some videos of you going medieval in the gym might help impress the coaches…
