Greg thanks for the updates and the music suggestions.

You are really working this opportunity and seem to be using psychological and motivational tools to accomplish your goals.

Thanks for showing me different ways to motivate and for showing how you can work hard to get things done.

Best of luck with this!
Hey OctoberGirl,
Thank you for your support, I appreciate it very much. This is just as psychological for me as it is physical.

E-Loo,
I do my cardio right after weight training. As for the rest of it, you are right on the money, just that on my leg day I only do 30 minutes of moderate cardio.

OctoberGirl,
Thank you for your support, I appreciate it!

For alot of you guys that are asking, the diet plan is somewhat bland, but both CT and Shugs have spoken about the less options people have sometimes, the better. CT has also listed several alternatives that I can sub in for my meals (which he’s listed throught all the PC guys threads). I’ll be food shopping tomorrow, so you’ll be seeing some new menus. Just no horse meat

Some songs that got me through my cardio this morning:

Hellyeah- You Wouldn’t Know
Hurt- 10 ton Brick
Black Sabbath- Neon Knights

Keep the suggestions rolling in guys.

Also, what physiques motivate you all? Let me know more about you as well. I’ll post some pics of who I admire in a little bit.

Greg,

What veggie options did CT give you? (Couldn’t find them on the PC threads) Do you do any kind of lettuce or spinach salads? For workout music, I’ve got one of those Sirius sat-radio portable units, and they’ve got a few awesome channels for lifting inspiration. Its pretty cool because you don’t have to listen to the same thing over and over.

Nice job. I have been following your PC thread regularly. I am curious though: what kind of evaluation did CT do before he designed your workout plan? What kinds of questions did he ask?

Where there any other interviews or exchanges before your were selected for the Physique Clinic itself?

Keep up the good work.

Sam

HG Thrower: I’ll look through the other threads, and if I find it, I’ll cut and paste it on this thread. I stick pretty much with brocolli most of the time, or lettuce.

Satellite Radio is definitely something I am going to look into, thanks for the suggestion!

Samicus: In terms of evaluation, CT had my before pics and my essay to go off of, that’s about it. No other exchanges happened, I just got an e-mail saying I was selected. I’m very fortunate. Thank you for the words of encouragement, they mean alot to me.

Here’s an inspirational photo, Dave Batista…

novagreg, you wrote this in your Physique Clinic:

I’ve been recently using an app called iFill that records internet radio to your iPod. I let it run for a couple of hours at night. It has been great for getting lots of variety, plus learning about new bands and songs that I like.

Unfortunately iFill has been discontinued, but I googled and found some alternatives - haven’t tried either:

Station Ripper – Record internet radio - Use with iTunes - auto-generate iTunes playlists of songs recorded.

MP3 Radio Recorder for iPod

E-Loo,
Thanks for that, I’ll check those out really soon. I’m off to bed since I have to work in the morning. If I have to hear “Simply having a wonderful Christmas Time” by Paul McCartney played in the mall one more time, I’m gonna cry. And to think, people wonder why Mall Santa’s are probably drunk!

Here’s a motivational pic for you, Mariusz Pudzianowski. BTW, are you allowed to say what is in that Surge Workout Fuel? I’m trying to follow along with the diet. All I can tell is that it has some carbs.

Hey Greg,

Approximately how many carbs are you taking in each day, outside of the SURGE Workout Fuel? From your meal plan, it looks really low, which is good for weight loss, and since you have been on a low-carb diet before, you are probably used to it.

Other than the carbs in Low-Carb Metabolic Drive and Grow! Whey, it looks virtually like zero, because I’m assuming you are not counting the carbs in broccoli.

Keep pluggin along!

Keep up the good work Greg!!!

Mike

Thanks for the support guys, I appreciate it. Overall, it’s less than 50 grams each day so far. So far, so good.

Three songs I listen to that get me pumped up for the gym:

Saliva - Click Click Boom
Thousand Foot Krutch - Rawkfist
Rocky Training Montage

Hey guys, thanks for the suggestions. I apologize for not writing as often as I’d like since I’m working in retail during the holidays, which blows to say the least. I will check out all your suggestions.

Another few that got me going today:

The Cult- Sweet Soul Sister
Lynch Mob- River of Love
Pantera- Cowboys from Hell
Tesla- Little Suzi

Can you tell I am a product of growing up in the 80’s?

Any have some good music suggestions? I’m always plugged into my IPOD, and since I’m spending over 15 hours per week at the gym for the next 11 weeks, I’m all up for some suggestions. Some of my favorite bands are Motorhead, Killswitch Engage, Guns N Roses, Van Halen, etc.
Greg, I just found this forum and had to reply to this. Here is what I jam to at the gym:

Turbonegro
Thrice
Rage Against the Machine
Bad Religion
The Sword
Rise Against
Alexisonfire

If you need album advice, just let me know, I have every thing on my ipod.

they also mentioned beta alanine

Plateau loading
Plateau loading is somewhat similar to pyramid loading except for two differences:

There isn’t as many different steps
More than one set is performed at each step

You basically perform different plateaux (2 to 4) each one having 2 sets at the same training load and reps. After a plateau you can start another one either of a higher intensity or of a lower intensity level. Here are some examples:

I personally prefer the double progression plateau because it allows you to be properly prepared for the heavier sets while not being too fatigued to perform well.
is it just me or did he not actually list the examples?

also great progress so far man…keep it up

Hey guys, thanks for the support! I’ll ask CT if I can divulge some of the ingredients in SURGE Workout Fuel. I’ve had a long few days, so I’m off to go catch up with some friends who are in town. Hope you all are having a good weekend.
