Good point!!!
Hey, the guy is communicating with Shugs on his PC thread and that is what counts really. The fact that he is getting blasted pretty regularly on the discussion thread is probably why he’s not commenting or coming around here much.
Folks can only take so much negativity from “on-lookers” until they just tired of it and avoid it all together. I suggest everyone ease up on the guy a little bit and see if he doesn’t feel a little more welcome to share what’s going on with him.
I’m in my 3rd week of the V-Diet right now and I know what a shock to the system that 1st week is. Some days are just mundain and minoutenous and there’s just nothing interesting to report really. I’m sure NovaGreg will report in soon.
I can’t haterate (nice word btw) or coddle. On one hand I can’t fault someone for not wanting to share any and all personal turmoil angst on the interweb. On the other, I also feel the effort put into the process (posting/updating/pontificating/pondering) whatever, was very lax.
One way or the other in a few weeks he will produce results and show some people up, or he will not and I imagine his clinic will get a red stamp of some sort. CT/Shugs/Biotest will document some lessons learned, perhaps they will tailor requirements for future clinic participation more strictly, require repayment agreements for supps, etc.
I still privately pull for the guy and hope he shows up with some solid results from the V-Diet. The one repetitive negative view I can’t agree with is the “omg he got free stuff he sucks” theme ad nauseum.
Good luck Greg.
I always wonder what Tim would have to say about Greg’s situation. After all, Greg is now some one living off his wallet. Not only is Tim kind enough to approve Greg’s application with Shugs’ nod, but Tim was also kind enough to RISK his company’s reputation by supplying Greg (and all chosen applicants) with unlimited supplements including one that isn’t even publically available. Tim is TRUSTING Greg not to release such ingredients.
Not only do I feel that this inturn means a moral obligation to participate to greater extent in this PC, but perhaps a general obligation to the thousands of visitors and applicants not chosen to participate more. Greg is immature in the fact that he doesn’t express any thanks to not only Tim, but 2 of the finest couches in the world.
Greg has been handed a golden opportunity. Let’s face the facts, anyone that allows themselves to be so mentally weak that they become morbidly obese represents someone in dire need of help from the outside. The help in this case was thousands of dollars and many years expertise of couches and company alike. I see Greg as a socially inept coward. He’s a taker, flat out.
I hate to sound so harsh, but Greg doesn’t have the balls to show his face, which makes it that much easier for me to say these words. He is the most shady character in this entire PC. I see him leeching from the staff and company alike, EVEN AFTER Shugs and Thibs decided to keep him and give him MORE chances than he damn well deserves.
I would have been so much more intrested had he just said Yeah thanks, I’ll put out and do ANYTHING the couches ask and then some. I think as a paying costumer of this community (T-Nation) I DESERVE a sorry, or a thanks from Greg. Hell it’s my money that I pay to T-Nation and Biotest that contributes an amount (albeit a super small percentage but never the less still an amount) to the resources that allows such a great company to employ wonderful coaches and the ability to give so many free products.
Thus endth my personal rant and my 1st amendment right to say my mind on a public forum.

Just expressing my opinion like everyone else. Contributing to a dead thread makes me feel wonderful! My blood pressure plummeted to normal levels after pressing Submit.

You are extraordinarily naive. Biotest is a business. Businesses rarely do anything to be “nice.” They do it because it will ultimately make a profit. And the supplements that they have given away will be written off as a marketing expense from their taxes. Now, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with that. Nothing at all.
I think Biotest is a great company, I have purchased many products from Biotest and will continue to do so. And I do think the Physique Clinic is “good.” It’s because Biotest does things like the Clinic that I purchase their products. So yes, the Clinic has paid off in terms of generating good will.
That’s funny, because I noticed that your profile is set to private. So, what are you hiding? And this has nothing to do with supporting Greg or not supporting him. This is about hypocrisy. I have zero tolerance for hypocrites. You want to call Greg out on stuff, fine, but you need to lay your cards out on the table.
Shugs and Thibs can criticize Greg because they’ve gone through transformations themselves. They know how hard it is, but they also know that it can be done. If you think physique transformation is so easy, then by all means, share your experiences and enlighten us with your own transformation story. Otherwise, shut the fuck up and go train.

Damn, how did that quote go? You can do whatever you want around a sleeping bear, but once it wakes up…
Well crafted post good sir, well played!
WTF these measurements sound made up apparently you gained 15 pounds but lost inches off your waist? Things like this hurt your credibility along with your sudden rude demeanor.

If you read his Clinic you would know his original scale was off. I believe that his new measurements put him around 6 or 7 pounds lost since the start of the new diet. So no, his credibility isn’t hurt by that.

You have not followed his thread closely. The scale numbers are from his new scale, after he ditched the apparently really faulty one.
Not that he made any effort to explain his numbers or give us a summary…
Oh my bad i sound like a dick but it just sounded so weird.

I’m doing the V-Diet, too, and when the bear gets hungry, he gets cranky.

EDIT*** Thanks for asking for the summary Shugs.
Subtle doesn’t work with most men.
SOME of you guys should STF-U. Where do u get off trashing Greg??
Are you jealous at not getting picked for the PC? I and others can STILL learn a LOT from it, and do OUR OWN PC!!!
That is what LIFE is about, anyway–not free Biotest supps.
If you can’t afford these supps, then GET OFF YOUR ASS and WORK!!!
These guys–and u or I–are not goint to get free supps or coaching FOREVER, and that is what this commitmetnt requires.
What is the U for, how are you going to do your own clinic without the coaches, What is LIFE about, and please tell me where you are getting free supplements i thought the clinicers were the only ones getting them.
I found that it does help to curb hunger if you eat the powder, it’s actually pretty tasty, and thats my favorite method of having my Surge even still. I just drink alot of water with it. I felt like I’m hungry if I just drink it, but if i eat the powder I’m not. It might be something mental. Just a thought! Congrats on the 5lb loss! Keep it up! You’ve got people cheering for you too!

Hey Sarah!
I actually do the same thing with Superfood! I just spoon it in my mouth and down it with a swig of water.
