listerfan - Nova has lost 26 pounds so far. Took him a while to really get it going (and I was the first to bust his ass about it) but it’s definitely going now.
His pics aren’t dramatic yet because 1) he’s a shitty photographer and 2) he has a lot of fat left to lose.
I told him myself his pics weren’t “before and after” quality yet. But I suspect he has a lot of subabdominal fat and he’s dropping that first, which is usually the case. That’s good because that’s “heart attack fat” as doctors call it, but bad because it doesn’t make for jaw-dropping after pics… yet.
Now, if he tells us he’s lost 35 pounds, then 40, then 50 and his pics don’t seem to change, then, well, we’ll have to whack him and melt his carcass down with acid in the Biotest “cleaning room.”
But I think he’ll do fine. This is real-world physique transformation, and it ain’t always fast and ain’t always pretty.

Thanks for the suggestions man. I’m a big Pantera fan, but I’ll look into those other bands starting tomorrow. [/quote]
If your looking for some good lifting music, I usually stick to Drowning Pool “Reminded and Sinner” and Hate Breed “Live for This, Death Before Dishonor, and I will Be Heard” - YouTube

That’s cool Chris, I’ve just been reading this for while and, as time passed, I began to get more and more frustrated about a guy who I thought wasn’t giving 100%.
Now I wouldn’t care if he was just some guy overpaying some unqualified trainer at a gym. But, in my mind, he’s taking a spot from somebody out there who would take the opportunity seriously and put the supps. and expertise to use.
Yeah, and I’m sure you really wish me “all the best”…
If you don’t like my whole Physique Clinic, then just post on the discussion threads of those who are “worthy” in your eyes. I’ve had enough of the fucking negativity. T-Nation is supposed to be about bettering yourself, and helping others to do so. You can spend your life helping build other people up, or tearing them down.
Greg, I’m glad your are fighting back. I think you are doing great and your results are picking up steam and will only get more and more defined.
This is supposed to be a forum for people to learn but there are always those fuckhead’s that think they are hot shit by being negative towards people.
All I can say is, those people wouldn’t last 20 minutes training with you Greg. Hell, I doubt I would last 20 minutes training with you.
You keep your head up and keep training your ass off.
For all you negative people that keep harping on Greg, I invite you to come over to my thread and be negative. See what happens.
I almost forgot…check out Bullet For My Valentine, Children of Bodom and Hellyeah.
I think you will enjoy…
Bartl,
Thanks for the support brother, your progress is a big motivator for me.
As far as fighting back, I’m not going to just sit back and let someone trash me on here, just like I wouldn’t let someone badmouth me in real life. It’s disrespectful, and that attitude towards anyone is just, well, as Shugs says, toxic.
I appreciate the kind words, but I think you could last 20 minutes training with me dude. Now me lasting 20 minutes with your current training for your triathlon, I don’t think I’d do so hot. ![]()
Thanks for the music recommendations. I’m not familiar with Children of Bodom, but I’ve heard some of Bullet for My Valentine and Hellyeah, and I’m definitely a fan. Tears Won’t Fall and You Wouldn’t Know are two favorites.
I am good friends with novagreg. He is busting his ass in the gym and following the diet. I applaud him for all of the hard work he has put into the PC. In our discussions about the PC, all he repeats is how grateful he is for being chosen and given the opportunity of a lifetime! He worked so hard to meet the weight to continue with the PC! Everyday we discuss how the training went and how excited he is about the weight he is loosing.
For those that speak negative bullshit, its time to be supportive! Its hard work to do what these PC guys have done! These guys should receive nothing but positive reinforcement! They have literally turned their lifestyles around dramatically in the last 12 weeks or so!
To novagreg and all of the PC guys and coach??s! Awesome work!

Screw Listerfan - don’t let him bother you. After seeing what CT has put you and Bartl through, I’m scared to sign up. Not even all the free supplements are enough to entice me to go through it! Fat loss is hard for me, too, and I fight for every pound.
Saw your post on Bartl’s thread asking him about getting into endurance sports. I know you didn’t ask me, but I’m arrogant enough to think you may be interested in what I have to say, so here goes. I too was really big into lifting, and still am into lifting, but have also converted into endurance sports. For me it’s all about getting out there and competing and pushing myself. I’ve done two triathlons and have enjoyed them. Training for an event is so much different than just “exercising.” I’m sure you know what I’m talking about from your Physique Clinic experience.
In my experience, triathlons are good for guys who want to retain mass. I’ve gained some upper body strength training for the swimming. Cycling may cause some loss in maximal strength, but I’ve lost no size in my legs and have gained size in my calves. Running - well, the running just sucks, but I deal with it. If you’re ever interested in doing one, shoot me a PM and I’ll give you some tips.

dude, you might want to start using your left hand to jerk off.
just a heads up
Greg Keep your head down and your spirits high! You are doing the thing! Soon you will be owning the thing!

Dude, as stated previously, I have been very impressed with your results and Gus’ as well. In my opinion, Novagreg is doing better than he was, but for quite a while, he was dicking around, and anybody with a brain in their head should be able to figure that out. I also find it comical that I’m a “toxic” person just because I don’t feel like you should have to handle a grown person with kid gloves.
It doesn’t matter to me, and doesn’t affect my life in any way, if he does or doesn’t reach his goal. I just wish he would’ve made more of the opportunity, because someone else would’ve…

Thanks for the support Colin, I will.
Greg,
This quote you put in your Physique Clinic Thread about MJ:
I have missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I have lost almost 300 games. On 26 occasions I have been entrusted to take the game winning shot… and missed. And I have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why… I succeed. -Michael Jordan
This is one of my favorite quotes as well, and here is the Nike commercial that goes along with it:
Everytime I watch that commercial I get goose bumps. Great commercial and message altogether.
No stopping you now man, go get it!
Thanks for the link to the commercial T-Money, I’ll definitely be checking that out before I lift tonight.
btdubs lesnar got pwnzorzd at his UFC. doesn’t mean he isn’t a total badass, just that he’s a total badass who needs to work on his jiu jitsu ahaha

Yeah man, when I heard the fight lasted about a minute, I was disappointed, but he’s got a ton of potential in MMA. It’s a shame he walked away from the WWE though, nobody ever had a run like him in that short of a time.
