60kg is insane! What bw was that at? You must be near doing a one arm pull up?

I was probably 71-72kg at the time. It was a few months ago, but my chinning strength hasn’t gotten any weaker since then.
I tried doing a one arm chin up once, but I guess my abs are so weak that I just couldn’t stop my body from twisting around lol. I’m pretty sure if somebody held my body stable that I could probably pull myself up with one arm haha.

Nice. Your abs can’t be that weak mate…you squat a decent amount
it’s wrist strength to stop yourself from spinning around when you hang with one arm.
Side note: Dropping 4kg is an absolute shocker on your squat strength! It’s gone down the sh!tter! It’s f0cking crazy…2months ago I hit 181x3, 182x2 missed the 3rd rep, 191! FFS. Then for some reason I was on a downwards spiral after that even before the weight loss…2 weeks at the Olympics = 2kg weight loss due to running about a lot and not eating as much food as I normally do…now I can barely hit 165x3…I was hitting 170x3 as a MINIMUM on the Sunday…most I’ve tripled is 167…this is insane…the only savng grace is you can see my abs now at 95kg…but it’s f0cking BS as I feel weak as f0ck…going to have to grind myself out of this.
That makes sense. My wrists are usually pretty beat up, and probably not all that strong.
Just keep edging out a kilo or 2 every couple weeks man. Strength that you’ve lost comes back quick. I had a nagging muscle strain in my lower back that kept me from squatting for like a month, and I also lost like 5kg bw. BS peaked at 205kg. In my last squat session before I decided it was time to stop I missed 170kg. All my other lifts took a huge divebomb as well. So I stopped doing most of them for like 5-6 weeks and did mostly only sled dragging to let my back heal.
Now I’m on the comeback trail. Jerked 140kg a few weeks ago. This week I hit an easy 185kg BS at 69 bw. Also hit 175x2x2. And 168kg for 5x3. PS 95kg yesterday and PC 110 today. I felt weak as shit for over a month, but now my strength is coming back quick and I feel great. I just have to be careful not to overdo it and aggravate the strain.
I guess the moral of the story is try not to let it get to you because you know there’s a light at the end of the tunnel haha. Easier said than done, I know.
@NewWorldMan - good luck in your comp.
@1llusion - it still looks to me like you just need to get your feet out a bit wider, especially on the clean.
You know me mate, 13yrs and counting…I’ve seen a lot of lifters go by the way side in the UK. A lot with a lot of talent that don’t lift anymore. I must be in the top 3 and definitely top 5 of the oldest guys to compete at the Nationals now LOL.
