Sounds good. What you thinking? Beating comp total/consistancy? What is the wager?
How about improvement on sinclair total? My current best comp total is 306, which gives me a sinclair of 333.77
No idea what the wager would be
Mine is 240 @ 92kgs which gives me about 272. Will chack when my internet is working properly. Training going well for you?
This log is DEAD at the mo, pretty much feel like im posting in 1llusions log. Good training btw, mate.

I’m still training everyday and I still follow the log and the forum. I just don’t feel that I have anything relevant to add to an OL log right now lol. Pretty much just been doing a whole lot of squatting and deadlifting. Case in point:
The other day I back squatted 183kg for a triple followed up with 6 doubles at 176.
121101 training
snatch to 75 without missing, missed 80 twice before making it. attempted 85 but no dice
clean and jerk to 95 and had to end there to get on a conference call.
I was supposed to compete this weekend, but I registered too late (slots for 65 lifters and I was number 80 lol). Lesson learned and I’m fired up to smash some PRs.
Kinda feel the same ape…I still lurk on here. Posting occasional vids. Here is one of me failing a 125

My training? HA. It’s pretty blase at the moment. We’ll see how geared up I can get in the next couple weeks.
Looks good, Ed. Have you done 125 before? Because if not you’re definitely good for it.
121103
Snatch to 75, missed 80 a few times (just wasn’t there today), made 3/5 attempts at 65
Clean and Jerk to 100. tweaked shoulder and stopped.
total 175, not a bad day.
can some other people start posting again too? lol. I feel like I’m the only one.
I took a look at qualifying totals for provincials and nationals, and I need 200 and 230 respectively. My best total right now is 190, and I can do 170-180 on a regular basis. Goal is to make nationals at the February comp. I do realize that is a VERY aggressive goal, but I need to set the bar high so I stay motivated.

That was first try, I’m good for 130/150 if my technique wasn’t so pants. Squatting 190 more consistently now, my power is pretty good at the mo. When you gonna pull your finger out your ass and compete?
@illusion we are in the same weight class and i am also setting a big goal for proventials lol.
you are way better lifter than me though. my best snatch is 80kg and clean and jerk is 97.5kg. oh well it will be interesting to see where are we during the proventials
Illusion where do you live?
I haven’t posted in here in a while. I’ve been doing the program my coach wrote for me and I tested my max lifts yesterday (4 weeks in). Hit a couple big (for me) lifts.

Your technique looks much improved from your older videos. You look like you’re moving pretty fast these days.
As for me, I’m really not sure man. I’m kind of in limbo right now as I feel like I have much greater potential to become good in powerlifting as opposed to OL. That’s why you saw that video of me doing sumo deadlifts lol.
In other news, I hit this on Sunday:

Been trying to implement all the stuff broz taught me. Hit 120/140 today, enough for the British champs. You’re strong as man, whichever strength sport you choose, I’m sure you’ll excell at.

I’ll be trying to fill out as a 77 for the February comp (typical bodyweight is 70-72 right now). I wouldn’t say I’m a better lifter than you bud. My bests are 82.5/107.5 - that’s pretty damn close.

I just feel that PL is much more forgiving to athletes who didn’t start training until their late teens or early 20’s. Plus, supposedly you can reach peak limit strength levels in your 40’s, whereas explosive strength tends to drop off when you reach your 30’s, which gives me more time. Also, my squat/DL seem to have no limit to how high they can go and my bests are currently within shouting distance of the APA American Records, which I have now decided to chase.
Have you met Broz?

Yeah, I trained with him for a week in April. Learning how to train, and sorting some technique. Guy is one of the most genuine people I’ve ever met. I don’t get why so many Americans hate on him so much. Weird weightlifting culture over there.
How you enjoying benching now?

Ha, I would love to train with him. Anytime anyone tells me to do more work in the weight room instead of less, I’m usually a fan of that person. Have you made any changes to your training since training with him? What did you learn from him that you weren’t already doing with your Bulgarian-inspired training program?
And I suck at the bench lol. I find it somewhat enjoyable to do, though it’s not nearly as awesome as a heavy squat, or DL, or snatch, or C&J. It’s my main weakness of the powerlifts though, that’s for sure. But for the first time ever I’m making a genuine effort to get it stronger.

To much to tell really. The importance of back squats and how to use them. Importance of the power movements. How to finish my pull properly. How to save it for another day if needed. Some amazing stuff for snatch bottom positions.
Don’t want to go into loads of detail cause it cost me a fair whack to fly over and stay there. If you ever get the chance you really should go. They fit is a training savant.

I’m broke at the moment, but it’s definitely something I’ll be trying to do in the future. Would you maybe PM me some of the details about what he said about back squats, power movements, and how to finish the pull? If you get a chance, I’d really appreciate it man.
