New PR's Part 2

Front squats 140kg x 3

High bar 170kg x 5 beltless, 185kg x 3 belted

4 inch block pulls - 220kg x 6

Squat, high-ish bar: 230x7

This is huge for me since two plates seemed to be a road block for a long time. Suddenly squatting more than that for moderate reps… Seriously, Nothing in the gym has made me happier within months.

275 Bench Press

Not a BIG number at all but as bad as my bench press has been for years I was pretty happy with this.

Don’t need to downplay it like that, that’s a nice milestone to hit, be proud.

Incline 185x15

7 Mat Pulls w/35lb Chains
380 x 5

335 paused bench at BW 165.2. Finally back up to double BW paused at my new heavier weight.

I’m looking forward to hitting it soonish.

Bench - 90kg x 11, 100kg x 6. The 100 x 6 ties my PR before I switched my form to flatfooted.

Bench - 160x7

7 Mat Pulls w/35lb Chains
395 x 5 (was 380 as of Monday)

Front squat 3x8 with 185
Deficit dead 385x1

Me too. And doing it with flat-feet is a big change hey? It definitely took me a long time and a lot of experimentation to start getting any reasonable amount of leg drive. I find oly shoes are nice for that.

OHP Volume PR: 9 x 3 x 69kg, 4 x 69kg

As my all-time biggest OHP was 2 x 70kg (not paused), I’m really stoked to be taking my training weights into uncharted territory next sesh!

330 x 5 on bench for a 10 lb PR! Morning weigh in 165.0, so double body weight!

Thanks for the support guys. My next goal is to hit the Three - Oh - Oh!! I am confident in the next few months I will hit it. I got it about 6-8 inches off of my chest and couldn’t push through. I hit an overhead press PR yesterday of 170 for 4 reps. That beats my previous best by 1 rep but I will certainly take it!

Paused bench 100kg x 7, then 4 x 5
60kg x 33 tng

And yeah, it’s taking time but the strength is coming back. I wear running shoes so that I get to have an elevated heel without buying oly shoes which I wouldn’t squat in.

Trap Bar Deadlift 465x3.

Had never Trap Bar Deadlifted until 4 months ago when my gym got a trap bar. I like the lift, but not sure I like it more than conventional deads.

Holy schnikes that’s awesome. Strong work man

Floor press 225x11

A really minor one - deadlift 305x5

Pause squats 325x2
