ALSO: Really, really sweet PR to end my bulk. I finally achieved my longtime goal of 17" arms (cold, flexed). It was only my right arm (left is 16.75"), but still. Really awesome that my arms have still been seeing modest, but decent, growth despite dropping my batshit crazy arms routine in favour of focusing on body parts that are ACTUALLY lagging and not threatening to overpower the rest of my physique (I’m sorry, I really have no desire to look like Nick Wright).[/quote]
Where did you start, arm-size-wise? Just curious. I started with 11" and 11.5" arms and I’m just now actually training them directly. (They grew ~1 inch without training them directly.) I’ve got a ways to go until I hit 17 pumped, nevermind cold.
Also, I’d never heard of Nick Wright until now. Don’t blame you for not wanting that.
I felt like taking a one week break from DE work, and do some RE work instead. I don’t know what my PR for 275 was, but I think whatever it was this blew it out of the water.

It was a tough one this morning, but 350lbs squat (20lb PR)! The spotter was one of the trainers in the gym I though he knew how to spot
Damn, nice PR! You are squatting around the same as me, while weighing a lot less than me, with slightly more gear ( squat without wraps or a belt). What type of training do you do for your squat? It is a very impressive squat in my opinion.

@Silyak Thanks a bunch!! And yes the spot was awful, when I watched the video I kinda freaked out because I didn’t realize it was that bad while I was squatting.
@DliftSprStrnGuy I assume you are talking to Reed…he did a post awhile back about his squat training with frequency and other tibits which explain his awesome gains…Reed is a beast!!

Total MISS LOAD. Was supposed to be 455 for 8-12. But, some how we forgot to take off some weight… 100lbs to be exact. So I guess I’ll take a totally unplanned unaware walked out 555 for 3. Second rep was kinda high but, you have to take into consideration I thought I was broken since I thought this was 455.

Guy before me was going heavier for Singles. I was next in rotation while I was wrapping other two spotters were supposed to strip a 45 per side but, they didn’t. When I got done wrapping I was already psyched and ready to go so I didn’t even look at the bar I just Squat it. That’s why in the video you literally hear me say mother fucker this is heavy today.

Nope, I am talking to you. My lifts are fairly meh compared to most adult men ( I am 16, and bench 270 with a competition pause, deadlift 425 beltless, and I am not sure where my squat is, but I guess it has been hovering around the 360-ish area with no knee wraps or belt), but I think it is incredibly impressive when women lift almost as much as I do.
Also yes, I agree that Reed’s lifts are beastly. I also know how he trains unless he changed it recently.
Oh okay, thanks for the compliment…I am following a program from my coaches. I squat once a week. I’m in my low volume phase now. But normally squat and then either pause squat or front squat afterwards. So nothing special just work hard and train consistently (5 days a week). I just learned how to low bar squat in November, but it has progressed well. I’m still a newbie (just started powerlifting last June) so I’m enjoying the newbie gains now, I know they will end soon!!

Not really sure what they started at. I think they were probably in the 13-14" range. Biceps have always been really good to me though. I remember when I was in school a long time ago and they were “teaching” us how to lift, and all the other guys were curling 10-15lbs for their sets and I was doing 20-25lbs.
I think I need to work on upper back and lats, since the bar was floating away a bit and my back was starting to round over. I also got very tight in my abdomen before I dropped my hips, then lost that tightness almost immediately.
New touch and go PR by 25 lbs. Tried 335 about 10 minutes before this, and then decided to go for broke. I had never felt more than 325 on the bar, but got it for a double before. Morning weigh in 155 lbs. VID 20140515 195640426 - YouTube
